A new Club Nintendo update gives users the ability to spend their hard-earned coins on downloadable games.
The games can be redeemed on the same page where coins are exchanged for other rewards. Users of Club Nintendo now have four downloadable titles to choose from. Super Mario Kart for 100 coins and Fluidity for 150 coins are the two titles available on the Wii. 3D Classics Xevious for 100 coins and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! for 150 coins are available to download for those with the appropriate portable. These rewards will be available until January 10. New titles will replace the original selection and are set to be determined by user feedback received for all downloadable games.
With this update to the Club Nintendo system came several other rewards. Nintendo themed notebooks, pen cases, and a set of Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Posters were added to the catalog.
The website itself was also given a make-over. Nintendo claims the new design, "offers a streamlined experience and more exciting ways to redeem coins." However, the new design isn't without problems. For instance, survey expiration dates no longer show the year. Furthermore, the site has been experiencing some loading problems. The site's technical support staff say they are working on resolving the issues.
