Nintendo have stopped printing codes for new runs of current games. Hyrule Warriors isn't the only game people have reported not receiving codes, others like Captain Toad and Smash Bros. have been spotted blank.

You can try contacting Nintendo through email or a phone call and see if they'll give you a PIN for the game (might need some proof of purchase), who knows, maybe they'll give you one.

That is total crap.  I just bought Pokemon Ruby, and yup no code.  Kinda ticks me off when I only need like 100 coins to Gold.

I am about 4-5 hours in, playing single player only so far.  Still hacking away at the 2-star quests.  I'll probably start trying to play some online in a couple weeks.  I am loving the Charge Blade.  I like the nimble of the sword and shield, and being able to change to a battle ax for bit charged attacks is nice too.

Just got my MH4U New 3DS delivered today.  I put in probably 2 hours or so.  Just the beginner stuff, which I need.  Never got into MH before, all I played was the Wii demo and I hated it.  But so far, I really like this.  Once I'm out of the beginner stage, maybe once I beat the Great Jaggie on my own, I'll venture out into the online world.  Hopefully I can find some people that are more experienced and can help me out.  So far though, it's fun.

Hey guys, I don't really come around here often...ok basically never.  I have had a login for several years and have like 5 posts to my name.  Anyway, just excited to have a board to come in and interact with other gamers.

So I have been playing Thief, the new rebooted game from Eidos.  I have played it for about 12-13 hours, I am 4 chapters into the game's story, and I have cleared about 6 different side missions and have 10 more on tap I can do before moving on to the next story.  I also have the Bank Heist mission that was part of my purchase.  This game has been getting a lot of crap in the press, but I am really liking it so far.  I don't have a lot of complaints about the story, and there is so much content, that if you should be able to find something you like.  I remember the original Thief: The Dark Project, and it is one of my favorite games of all time.  I think some of the hate on the game is that it is too linear compared to that game.  This game is going for a similar vibe to what they did in Deus Ex:HR and in a way with Tomb Raider.  Which is a kind of Open-Linear style of gameplay.  You are basically going to go from point A to point B to point C, but you do have a lot of hidden passages, alternate routes and options of how to deal with guards and such.  So far I think if you know that going in, you will be very happy with Thief.  I am very happy with it so far, and if you liked the original Thief and you liked Human Revoluion, I think you will be pleased with Thief, especially if you get a good deal on it.

Caveat, I am playing this on PC through Steam.  I have read the console versions have a lot of issues.

Hopefully it's better than Origins.  Origins started OK, but for me it ran out of steam quickly.  Of course it doesn't help I was late to the Asylum party, so I played Asylum and City in very close proximity.  I was happy when it looked like Batman games were going to every other year, and not an annual franchise.  I think games Arhkam and Assasin's Creed are best with more time inbetween.  but alas, sales figures and dollars usurp all.  Go figure.

Is there any way to keep everyone (all your characters and NPC's) alive in chapter 6?
8 attempts and the last time pissed me off SPOILER maybe the dang spider that moves
1 space per turn, swoops 4 spaces and attacks and poisons  an NPC the only one i had not
rescued yet.
3 gave overs, 2 frans 1 garcia and 1 Sword dude, UUGH!

First off, let me say I am really loving playing this game.  I find it reminds me a lot of Ogre Battle, but I think it is a bit easier to get my head around.

that being said, Chapter 6 is PISSING ME OFF.  I had a freaking archer one hit kill 2 or 3 guys.  I might just say screw it and play the game without them.

TalkBack / Re: PDP Announces Wii Headset for Call of Duty: Black Ops

I am still not sure why they never made a Bluetooth compatible set.  I think I remember reading that the Wii had 5-6 slots for Bluetooth devices, up to 4 for controllers so they could add one.

Ultimately I think they had to make a decision based on making it corded, and cheap or Wireless and more expensive.  It could also have been required to keep the packet size small and the lag low.

I fully plan to buy this, I have Black Ops on pre-order now.  I want to know how Treyarch plans to use friendcodes, and how flexible they will be allowed to make it, but they won't release any info until the game itself comes out.

This game doesn't look bad, but it doesn't do anything to stand out for me that I must play it.

Bingo.  I also second the backlog point.  Furthermore, this is a first-person game with no online multiplayer.  Yawn, don't care.

This game is really good.  For me it vaults both No More Heroes and Muramasa as the best third party game, but what the hell would multiplayer have anything to do with it?  It isn't really a shooter, the best you could do would be duels.

So far this game is SO GOOD.  I think the action and motion is very good and the graphics are absolutely amazing.  It is really impressive what just being able to run at 60 FPS can do for a games look.  As for negs, I would say the areas could be more open world and larger, but I am early in the game so far.  Very impressed, it won't sell great, but it should.

FYI, spreading the word, I bought mine at Costco for $54 for Red Steel 2, Wii Motion Plus and Red Steel 1.  Since I never played it I was quite happy to have it tag along for free.

Listening to all the NWR submissions for Game of the Decade as well as your round table discussion to reduce the total to 5 (wait 6) titles to vote on is both wonderfully engaging and mind-numbingly rediculous at the same time.  Consider this e-mail my submission to the futility of debate, and the background on why I will cast my vote for Super Mario Galaxy not only as the best Nintendo title of the decade, but the penultimate game Nintendo has been striving for since the heyday of the NES era.

When thinking of this issue I came around to deciding between three titles Metroid Prime, Wii Sports, and Super Mario Galaxy.  The difficulty came down to my reasoning and criteria for my decision.  Metroid Prime is possibly the best single player game of all time, it is an amazing game visually and the way it controls and handles.  Prime does so many things that most FPS games do not do.  But it is the definition of a hardcore Nintendo first party title, show it to my wife or my parents and watch their eyes bleed from confusion.  Wii Sports is the ultimate casual title, pop the disc in and simply choose your activity.  From there the gameplay is simple and intuitive and CASUAL.  Wii Sports can take the mantle of single handedly selling millions of Wii consoles in the first few years.  It suffers from the exact opposite criticism of Prime, it is very casual, very shallow and doesn't offer much past the first play.

Nintendo first billed the Wii as a console for everyone, catering to the new and groing casual crowd as well the established "hardcore" gamer playing since the NES days.  This philosophy was developed through the soulsearching days of the Gamecube and has been on full display during the Wii lifespan.  To that end, Super Mario Galaxy is the ultimate representation of this philosophy.  Gone away is the relative sandlot feel of Dolphino Island and arrived is a "glorified menu" in the spaceship.  This makes the taks of getting to each galaxy streamlined and easy.  Everything is neatly compartmentalized and represented.  The game offers the player 120 total stars to acheive but a casual player can succeed in the game with only 60, while the hardcore can go after the last 60 and go through some of the wildest most imaginative 3D platforming I have seen.  Add to it the co-star mode for super casual players and it leaves no one behind.  Super Mario Galaxy is the representation of the Nintendo philosophy of the 2000's to have something for every gamer.  That is why it is my game of the decade.
