Blast Corps 3D?! That would end me. I can't believe this is just now being brought up. This needs to happen.

Nice article. Kind of what I was expecting. Nothing new, but still solid. That's all fine and dandy to me. I am looking forward to picking it up, I need a new platformer for my 3DS after completing 3D Land.

I love loot based games so I am enjoying the heck out of Heroes of Ruin. I have a Level 20 Vindicator and near the tail end of the story, with about 5 hours of gametime. Also I am at the money cap, which was weird finding out about when I hit it. I have yet to play online, I wanted to finish the story and get a good understanding of the game before I tried multiplayer. It stayed in my 3DS since launch day, until I picked up Dream Drop Distance yesterday, now I feel bad for putting it on the back burner for now. I may play a little more today before work.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: What are your three favorite 3DS games and why?
« on: August 09, 2012, 08:45:35 AM »
1) Super Mario 3D Land - I am a huge platformer fan, always have been. 3D Land is fantastic in almost every way possible. Tons of replay value and great gameplay.

2) StarFox 64 3D - StarFox has always been my favorite Nintendo franchise, so any game in the series will always be fun for me. Playing this on the 3DS brings back a lot of good memories from my early teenage years.

3) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D - Adventure games, always great in my book and Zelda nails an A+ in every category for me. It's the number one 3DS game I have spent the most time on. Still working on completing the Master Quest.

Honorable Mentions - Heroes of Ruin, Steel Diver, Kid Icarus: Uprising

EDIT: Added some honorable mentions.

I am excited about everything on this game. It's nice to see Nintendo having the option to download games digitally, but I will always buy my games at retail if I have the option to do so. I like having a physical copy of something that I pay for.

I played the original years ago and remember enjoying it. I've never played Rebirth, but I hear they're almost the same as terms of gameplay. I think one difference is that in Rebirth you get secondary weapons that you can use, along side the whip.

I'd say the original GameBoy version would be worth a buy if you're looking for a good Castlevania game, but this is coming from a big Castlevania fan. :p

I wonder if people will ever stop caring about something so trivial.
I know it's not a big deal or anything. It was just something I was thinking about and thought it would make for a good discussion. I wasn't complaining or anything. ;)

I don't really care one way or another. At E3, Miyamoto said that some people complained about getting tired while playing Skyward Sword or not liking the motion controls so they're looking into what they can change or improver though he is a fan of the controls in Skyward Sword. I think it might be too hard to ignore both the GamePad and Pro Controller. I wouldn't be too surprised if the next Zelda included different control options.
Different control options would be a great thing to add! I've always thought that every game should have the option to modify the controls to the fullest extent.

Since the Wii U is returning to more of a traditional form of controls, do you think Link will return to being left handed?

For the people that don't know, Miyamoto stated that Link was made right handed for Skyward Sword and the Wii version of Twilight Princess, because most players would be holding the Wii remote with their right hand and he wanted the players to feel like they really were Link.

I know when Twilight Princess released back on the Wii launch, some people did not like the fact that Link was switched to being right handed. Many even skipped the Wii version of Twilight Princess and picked up the GameCube version instead. That said, this information comes from me being a heavy user of the IGN forums at the time, so I'm not sure how wide spread this feeling was.

Would anyone else like to see him return to being left handed?

I bought this for my 3DS a while back and it's a fantastic game. A lot of replay value with trying to go back and beat your level times. I am really happy that it's coming to the Wii U.

Also, I am a sucker for anything developed by WayForward, they're great.

I am a huge Monster Hunter fan. The fourth installment looks great, but I really want Capcom to give me a solid stateside release date for 3G before I even start thinking about 4.

Yes! I played this game quite a bit back when it was originally released. I'm looking forward to a Virtual Console release.

Sounds good, I have been thinking about getting the game. After reading this, I will probably download it when I get to work today. It will help keep me busy during the downtime. :p
