You may want to consider investing in a Peach amiibo, Mario Kart 8 fans.

The game compatibility list for Nintendo's lineup of amiibo figures has apparently been outed, revealing new information on which figures will work with Mario Kart 8.

According to a photo taken of a demo kiosk, the Mario, Peach, Yoshi and Donkey Kong figures will all be compatible with Nintendo's Wii U-exclusive kart racer. Additionally, the image reaffirms that the Link amiibo will be compatible in Hyrule Warriors. On top of that, outlines for Bowser, Pikmin and Tom Nook allegedly appear on the in-store video.

The kiosk also confirms that Mario, Peach and Yoshi will work with Mario Party 10, with the green dino also being compatible in Yoshi's Woolly World. Naturally, there is also a long list of supported figures for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, but we already know that all of the figures revealed thus far will be compatible with Nintendo's upcoming brawler.

Stay tuned to Nintendo World Report for more information regarding amiibo compatibility as we near its November 21 launch. In the meantime, be sure to check out our Amiibo Collectors Guide.

I really hate how Nintendo is doing this.

I really hoped that Nintendo would let one amiibo be compatible with all amiibo compatible games.  Now, if I buy the wrong one, I get less value.  This bothers me, because it makes some of the more special and unique amiibos worth less.

If I buy an amiibo I expect it to work with any and all amiibo compatible games.  I don't care if the characters don't match.

Spak, I don't know what you're angry about. One figure DOES work with multiple games. This chart just shows you which figures are compatible with which games. It's not even implying that you have to, say, buy two Mario Amiibos to use with Smash and MK8. You can use the same figure with both games, so your consternation confuses me.

At first I only wanted Kirby for Smash Bros but if the same one can be used on multiple titles... Hopefully Link will be compatible in Mario Kart 8 as well since he'll be playable next month.
Mission...complete?

Basically the Samus one is completely worthless because there is no indication of a metroid game on Wii U.

I wish they approached this more like Reboot.

Have the character go in and be dressed like they belong or just if they don't just take over for one of the other characters using there skills.

Spak, it wouldn't make any sense or be realistic to expect all Amiibos to work with all games that support Amiibo. If they did that, it's safe to say that the number of games that support the figurines would drastically drop. Plus, exactly what would you expect them to do with Wii Fit Trainer or Villager in Hyrule Warriors?

Play as a companion character even if they don't have their Wii Fit Trainer or Villager forms.

Unless I'm mistaken, Spak-Spang thought that Amiibos would all be the same/interchangeable, with the figure being just eye candy. Amiibos then would essentially just be a generalized storage unit, like a spiffy wireless flash drive.

Spak-Spang, this is not the case. They were always intended to be character specific. A Mario amiibo is a Mario amiibo, and it is such in any game that has Mario and supports amiibos. Same thing for any other character. They're digital characters held within a figurine. How they interact with a game will differ per game, though.

Or maybe add a costume for the main character to wear, a la Bayonetta 2 and all her costumes.

No I understand that the statue represents a character.  I get it.
However, I think if a game is going to be compatible with Amiibos they should compatible with all of them.  I think this is pretty annoying to think.  Wow, I love Wiifit trainer, but I will only be able to use this for Smash bros, and maybe Wii Fit.  NOPE I pass.

If you are going to do this go all out.  I buy Link Amiibo or Wiifit, and that character is racing in Kart…or unlocks an exclusive stage or ANYTHING!!!!  This it only fits in one universe is the kinda implication that turns me away.

That may just be my opinion, but literally this is looking like something built for Smash Bros and everything else is an after thought.

Amiibos should not all cost the same. A Kirby/Samus/Villager/Trainer Amiibo will never have the same value as a Mario figure. I thought about buying a Kirby figure but I won't even bother.

I now see why Captain Falcon isn't in there.
Sometimes, you just want to play a video game.

I'll be the one to say it, I don't give a **** what they do, I am getting only the figures I want just for the figures, the games aren't even a factor because I doubt I will have many and I seriously doubt I will ever use them, I don't play online ever and I don't use Mii's or Miiverse or any of that stuff anyways.
Trying to be a better person, honest.
