Sup, I'm a new shmuck. Seems ShyGuy's resorting to PMing peoples to get us in here. BUT WAIT, I was, and still am, a little confused. Was 'Heatmor's Name Changer House' formally known as 'The Funhouse'? Mayhaps the entirety of Ninty-Wurld Forums is the Funhouse, or just the Community Forums, where James is no longer allowed due to apparent lack of coolness. *Strokes stubble* I am in need of enlightening. Google reveals a few threads mentioning a house of funness, but I can't seem to find the forum subsection. :Q

This is the Funhouse. The displayed name changes fairly regularly, whenever the mods feel like it, but we cool people still just refer to it as the Funhouse.

It's not an initiation. There is no hazing allowed... anymore.
It's more of a rabbit hole that leads to a small room with a table in the middle. On top of that table is a vial with a label that says "Drink Me!".
The link in your PM was the rabbit hole, and you are now standing next to the table in the small room. The Funhouse is in that vial. Do you drink it?

It starts off with a post outlining the basic philosophy of the forum, and then continues as a great example of the kind of stuff we do here. Remember, always follow rule number one:

My name's Wikipedia McFluffers, and I enjoy walking for teh exercise. Podcasts are good listening material, but I started my RFN career long before this exercising binge started. Greg's voice is so soothing...it knocks me out quick-smart. Oh, and if any of you podcast masters are reading this, and get the chance to sometime talk to Craig Harris, could you apologise to him for me about that Babbage's question on the live podcast? T'was just a little joke that I hope didn't annoy him too greatly. I donated $5 for it, so at least some good came from it. Digress FTW.
I like to complain about Nintendo of Australia a lot, makin' me wait ages for English games 'n such. SRSLY!

Razorkid, when I was a kid there just seemed to be rhubarb pie. Somewhere along the way it switched to strawberry rhubarb. My mom used to grow and can her own rhurbarb.

Shyggies, Queensland got the floods after a really bad drought (NE Aus), then a cyclone shortly after. Western Australia (W Aus :-3) got the fires I think, I dunno, I don't watch the TV anymore. Victoria (SE Aus) got really bad fires a year or two ago which killed lots of people. I live in New South Wales (E Aus), right around Sydney, which is the capitol of Australia, as everyone knows... 'Tis just common knowledge. We had Oprah here a few months back, so that's a cyclone of sorts. Millions dead serious about their appreciation of Oprah.

Health Bar Spiders (Final Fantius Freakin' Huegious) are quite common in Australia, their native homeland, and are quite distinguishable by their hueg size. So huge, infact, that they have health bars akin to those in Final Fantasy games above their heads. Hunters despise them, however, due to the fact that once the killing blow has been made, the carcase vanashes. Scientists believe that they pass on over into another dimension (Dimension X), where Krang is still on his desperate quest to retrieve his bawwwdy. TMNT TMNT TMNT HIaH-S TURTLE POWER! Yeah, I freakin' hate spiders too, bud. :'(

The excitement of my week has been that I spent about 6 hours yesterday playing Wind Waker. I'm on a mission to finally beat that game. I've tried several times before but always get distracted from it. Not this time, I will be victorious.

Bastard! I had full intentions of doing the same, but Dick Smith's (heh...'dick') preorder deal suckered in a lot of the crew from Aussie Nintendo (WHERE INFERNAL RESIDES, OMG!), myself included. Time to look forward to pointless delays and games not coming out all-together. We don't have Shantae or Cave Story yet. :'( Piracy, if available, will be used if I get fed up enough. Gah! Should've just imported. No Pilotwings or Steel Diver at launch for us. No reason as always. Market manipulation, amirite? :-[
I saw my first ever snake in the wild a few days back on one of my walks. T'was about 4 feet long, 9 inches in diametre, and completely glossy black. Bricks were shat. Flashbacks of prison showers and what-not. Throwing a pokeball was of little effect, as he'd been recharging his HP in the sun all day. Save states would've been helpful.

I actually really want to play Conker on the N64. I saw it at my local video game store, but it was $40 and kind of beat up. Did I make a mistake on not getting it?
On a side note: Does anyone else here hate cheap AI in fighting games? Even though Mortal Kombat Trilogy is my favorite fighting game, it still pisses me off that I can sometimes spend 25 to 40 minutes fighting one guy or one endurance match just because of cheap AI.

Conker's Bad Fur Day was pretty kew. It came out 'ere for $140 I think. I was a sucker for Rare platformers back then, even though the majority of 'em were the same. This one's multiplayer was quite addictive.
OH!! Walked into a store I'd never been in before yesterday called Gametraders. I nostalgiagasmed all over the place. Dude, there were boxed SNES and N64 games and everything! Donkey Kong Country, OMG!! Secret of Mana for $100!! My favorite game of all time!! I think I might actually buy a few Gamecube games from there. They had Geist, Baiton Kaitos and others. I've heard good things. End!

Found you. All those at PAX East '11, I salute you. I volunteered as an Enforcer at the Naga Theatre, so if you saw a panel there, I might have asked you to stay between the red lines, or perhaps you came to the end of the line and I was standing there, holding a white board with "END OF THE LINE" written on it. Sounds stimulating, I know... Here ends the worst description of PAX ever. (In fact, 'twas amazing. Come to Boston and join us in 2012.) Other Adventures = Playing my import copy of Jam with the Band on DS. Working on a piece about our old friend, the Virtual Boy. Trying to get my girlfriend off her Animal Crossing addiction, only to hook her onto Harvest Moon. About to eat this last half of a slice of toast with peanut butter, nutella and jam.

Anyway, the PAX Enforcers are great. I can't imagine what its like to shepherd so many man-children around such a large space. PAX was, just like last year, awesome. Thanks to everyone that came out.

I currently have my own website, and I plan on working up to be a well known source for all video game news and reviews. Understandably, that won't happen for a very long time, if at all.
Actually, that's partly why I joined this forum. I've lurked the site for about a year now. I kinda want to talk with the admins, editors, etc., as a kind of job shadow type thing. But since I wasn't even a member of the forum, I knew it wouldn't happen. So...here I am.
I did, in fact, have a wacky adventure, but it involved my career as a spy, so I'm not allowed to talk about that.
And no, I'm not an Elder Scrolls fan. I am, however, excited for Conduit 2, the 3DS, and Bioshock Infinite.

so hello there, as you may already guess I got the famour PM too and the first thing that came to mind was "WTF?" then I slowly realised. Anyway here I am, I don't think anyone remembers but I'm the first caller during the RFN Live charity show, the guy from Italy that tried to make a joke about speaking like Mario but the call dropped and my impression didn't get recorded. I also made an mp3 and sent it to Karl (thanks again for trying, man!) but it couldn't be put in the recording. Sad, because I was going to give just what the people in the IRC wanted ;D
(I still have that mp3, in case you're wondering :cool; )
I joined the forum mainly because I love the RFN podcast and wanted to be a bit closer to the site aswell. I write for an Italian site about games retro and current, and I recently tried the 3ds (for that site) and we're soon starting a free PDF magazine in both Italian and English about retrogaming. maybe when it's out I should plug it here hehe! I dream of starting a podcast of my own and being a guest in RFN since I immensely enjoyed being on the live show and talking to the guys, even though I was super-excited and could barely talk.

You should definitely check out Radio Free Nintendo (and NWR's other podcasts too, but RFN first). I never listened to podcasts before I heard RFN, and I wish I'd started sooner.

Well, I used to listen to a podcast, but ended up having the entire original casters leave the show, including the founder. I have like PTS or something from that incident which prevents me from getting into any more podcasts.

Also, I am a pokeaddict, and most of my free time has gone into Pokemon Black over the last few weeks.
I discovered RFN about 6 months ago. That stuff is crack in audio form. About 2 weeks ago, I finished listening to every episode, including E3/PAX specials and other unnumbered episodes.

As an American of Italian descent, my family and I all call it gravy (ragu) instead of tomato sauce. My wife, also of Italian descent, calls it similarly. All of our grandparents who are "off the boat" have been calling it that since they came here and I suppose it has just stuck. At least here in America, you always know an Italian when they call it gravy.
Also, you can't get the stuff from the store - gotta make your own.

I didn't know you use to call it "gravy", anyway the same things happens here when a name even if it's not the most appropriate just sticks in the common use. Italian regions have many differences so it's common that the same thing gets a different name according to where you are in the country.

I don't really play a lot of new games but like the site and podcasts. I'm into retro/ design-oriented games (bit trip/ vvvvv/ minecraft) but going back to school for an electrical engineering degree doesn't leave me as much time to game as I'd like to and being a musician takes up what little money I have. GoldenEye64 is one of the best games ever; River City Ransom is the best game ever.

Do you mean the "Catacombe"? I've never been there. I was in Rome just last weekend (as I said I'm not far from there) and taking advantage of the free museums/monuments entry for the 150th birthday of our unification I went to the Colosseo (or colosseum as you say, using the latin word) and to the Fori Imperiali and to the Liberation Museum and then I remembered I have never been to the catacombe but it was too late. I've been to the Popes'tombs under the Vatican and to S.Peter's tomb.

It just seems that Aurora was always that other Princess of the Disney Princesses. Interest fact this was the last movie that Disney did with hand inked cells and Walt Disney purposely wanted this movie to have a different art style from their previous Fantasy movies.

Just got the PM. Well, I'm Xero! I am a Barbadian and am a Nintendo fan. I own consoles from Nintendo and its competitors but it's obvious who the favourite is. Crazy adventures this week? Hmm... I chilled at the beach with a friend, went to see Transformers (the local theater FINALLY got 3D tech so I enjoyed the film in 3D), and hung out in the mall and had some laughs with my best friend. Played some games in between of course but you know how it is. :p

Random fact:
I have a friend who's DJ name is Shyguy. He DJ's with the mask on. Last time we hung out, we threw a rave in his basement. He mixed old school 8 bit tunes with dubstep and house. Needless to say, it was dope.
