Maxi, I've helped people out in so many ways whether it's currency or something else, I've lost track. I've lent people money; borrowed money; forgot about money; money is so trivial. I've given change to the random bum, but I'd rather and usually give them food. I've volunteered at the local homeless shelter and what not. To me, it all comes down to Karma. If your intentions are just than you are just; but more importantly, don't actively **** over anyone. I've broken that rule before, but I'm getting a lot better at it.
The way my friends and family roll is all for one and one for all. If I buy the booze then someone else is guaranteed to buy the ganja. I use the phrase "Don't worry about it" alot. We're not stingy, we don't hoard. When one of us has a party, you can expect hospitality and you can expect everything to be free.
The way we think about it is like this: When we're older, how are we going to act? Are we going to be selfish? Are we going to be miserly? Or are we going to be the hospitable people that we were raised to be?
