Topic: Eternal Mafia Day V

[Stratos]

After suffering from the group loss of sanity, the heroes began to return to their senses. As they took inventory of their status it was found that the hero Stevey was dead. His body was found nearby fried to a magickal crisp by the powers of Chattur'gha. He was ID'd by the various pictures of 'Hawtness' scattered around his body.

Finally one of the heroes came forward who had received a vision while reading the Tome of Eternal Darkness. He said that there was another among them who was not their ally nor an ally of the enemy. This person had been killing off others for some other ancient's plans. This ancient had remained hidden for eons and only Mantorok was aware of his existence beyond the suspicions of the others. This ancient was the wielder of the yellow magick seen before and was known as Tup'pomi. This ancient's servant was the one named VUDU!

All turned to stare and the one known as Dennis 'Vudu' Dyack. "Yes, I serve another. Long has it been since stone and ink, tongue and paper uttered her name. She is the true master of this world and all within it. Her and Mantorok are like two sides to a coin; One is the lord of chaos, the corpse god they call him. The other, she is know as the Ancient of Balance, who always strives to ensure all existence is in parity. Your quest as well as that of the rouge Chattur'gha and his lap dog Pious must be stopped at all costs. For the sake of the Balance I shall now destroy your flesh and bone."

At this he transformed into a great and mighty beast of epic proportions.



All of the heroes banded together to take down the monstrosity. The crazed servant of Tup'pomi. But he was powerful. Even some of the forces of Pious charged out of the shadows to aid in the defeat as they had found a common enemy. The fallen spirits of the Hero's of Light came forth to lend strength to the heroes as they fought with bravery and valor.

In the end the maniacal servant Vudu fell. As the dust settled the heroes eyed those servants of Chattur'gha present. Unsure what would happen now. They drifted of into the shadows hauntingly whispering "This changes nothing, you all must die for His Will..."

PS-any votes or actions posted in the 'Sanity Day thread' are not counted towards today or yesterday so be sure to vote again. hope the gap wasn't too much, I've been wanting to do this all game and this was part of the ending had Vudu actually won the game.

I'd argue that it wasn't a good idea because with the killer gone there is no buffer as far as mess ups go.

Yeah, we need to take out a mafia member, 3 days in a row, or it's game over. That's a tall order.

You know what, no. This is too late in the game and too desperate a situation to reduce this to bickering. We need to figure something out, and present a unified front, because there's still a possibility that the mafia has infected someone and we can't afford having dissent among our ranks.

3 random people is just as good as 1 random person; do you know the odds of picking the right 3 like that? We need some kind of logic and reasoning if we're going to have any hope. I'm not arguing with your choices (except, you know, me) as much as your methodology. I know we don't have great evidence, but we need more than stabbing in the dark.

I feel pretty much as clueless as when we started.  Does anyone else think that Stratos might be dropping subtle hints to the Godfather's identity with all of the Birdo imagery the past few days?

Perm is making those pics like it was said. I asked for a representation of the yellow ancient and that was what came of it
No connection whatsoever to Mop it up as relevant to gameplay. Perm made all of those before the game even started and I only told him the basic premise of the story to go on. I almost turned all story elements over to Perm so he could have more direction and creative license in creating the images.

The GF vote out will stop the hit.

No, super did not get the results before dying. The investigator was going to get his searches when the night actions were happening. This is different from the Librarian's searches which get a return as soon as I receive the requests.

Sorry I've been in and out. A lot has been going on. I believe that I have responded to all fielded questions though. Honestly I thought the 12PM time would be convenient for all but it's turned out to be too inconvenient for me. Next time I may just go for a nighttime (my time) and roll with that since I then have more time to focus on story elements and such. Like a 4am-5am switch. As a player I always liked playing where a new game day was up when I awoke in the morning and that is a guaranteed time I would be home from work.

1: I went to sleep at 2230 last night, and even earlier every day this week. Add this to the timezone issue i'm "never" around.
2: Only Maxi has bothered to send me a PM, so he's the only one who garners any trust from me for actually fielding any basic questions such as "why have you been quiet?".

Edit to add expaination:

Perhaps both thatguy and Plugabugz are mafia.  The only mafia member that matters now is the godfather so to cover the godfather (thatguy) the mafia sacrifices Plugabugz to gain trust then tomorrow rally the troops to vote a townie and they win.
