Nintendo Gaming / Re: They should make a Smash Bros. RPG
« on: March 19, 2008, 02:39:29 PM »
It would be cool, But I want it not to be connected to Smash Bros.
I liked the idea behind SSE, but over all I hated it in the actual game.
I wish they didn't waste time making it and focused on adding more characters. I didn't buy Smash Bros. to play a single player game, I bought it to play with my friends.

But a solo not connected to Smash Bros what so ever crossover game would be pretty cool if done right, SSE was not done right in my opinion.

If people are planing to get it they should buy it even if they know their not going to get to it for a bit.

I don't know what developers are think when they release a game so close to Smash Bros. But if we don't continue to support 3rd parties even with Smash out it might push them away from Nintendo again.

I'm going to be picking it up if we still have a copy at the store.

Come on people Support 3rd Parties!!!!

WOHOO!!!
I can't wait for this to come out.
It has been confirmed that it will be a remake of the PSP version which had additional content compared to the PS2 version.

I guess I'll be buying this game for a 3rd time.
Its a great game and anyone who hasn't played it I recomend picking it up when its released for the DS.

The screen shots look really nice. Even if they are cutscenes.

As for Nintendo publishing it, meh. At least it reinsures that it will be Nintendo Only. Thou whats interesting is that this is the second game where Tecmo isn't publishing their own game. Ninja Gaiden II is being published by Microsoft. Does anyone know if Ninja Gaiden DS is being published by Nintendo too?

Maybe this is just a new trend by Tecmo?

Can you imagine what all of your responses would have been if the full roster had been leaked before we learned so much from the Smash Dojo?

All the good surprises where all ready announced before today. Captain Olimar was the last good one.
everything today was pretty much garbage. Except for Green Hill Zone level. I could have easly lived without everything else that was shown off today.

Seriously why did he waste all the time on stupid stickers, trophies and R.O.B  when that time could have been used to.. oh I don't know give Falco and Ganondorf their own FREAKEN move set.

After re-watching the intro again, It saddens me even more that the unlockables include Mr Game & Watch, R.O.B and Celda Link.

I really wish Midna and Ashley were in the game. They could have been really Cool.

Instead we got lame unlockables and REALLY lame trophies and stickers.

After seeing the remainder lineup and looking back at all the garbage that was put into Brawl, I actually don't feel at all bad that Sakurai is leaving Smash Bros. In fact I would be more then happy to help him clean out his desk.

Time to bring in someone who is more connected to the fans and cares more for the series.

Hearing that Clones are still in I'm kind of pissed off that my two fav Melee characters are not coming back.

Looks like the only new characters I'll be playing as will be Sonic and maybe Pit. =/ Other then that Its pretty much just Melee characters (Link, Samus, Pikachu, Zelda and Bowser).

After all the months of hype I was expecting something big to have been hidden, someone that would have made me really excited. Instead all the exciting characters were announced at day 1 (with the exception of Sonic, but we all pretty much figured he was in) I guess it was to much to expect after the weeks of crappy updates to the Smash site.

General Chat / RE:Warrning: Cloverfeild is NOT a "Real" Monster movie!

You'll like the movie.

This topic was more of a "just to let you know what your going to get your self into" topic on Cloverfeild.
I know there are people who are going to eat this movie up and love it. The thing is, I don't think this movie was correctly marketed to thouse people. When I saw the adds I thought I was going to see a modern version of the classic monsterr movies, but insted I got somthing totaly differnt.

Ya thats kind of like it. But your really don't see alot of the monster, more of the aftermath.

My biggest problem with the movie was their was no ending, no hero, and no survivors.

Just want to let everyone know that Cloverfeild was NOT a monster movie like so many people are going into it thinking.

I went into the movie expecting nothing, I stayed away from all interviews and reviews. The only media I saw for it were the trailers. I went in thinking it was going to be a monster movie (in the spirit of Godzilla) I was GRAVELY disappointed.

Might be a little tiny some what of a spoiler here:

Its more like a disaster movie with out the hero ending.
The filming style was cool, but if you get motion sick I recommend waiting for the video release.

The director did accomplish what he set out to do, he created a “monster” disaster movie from the perspective of the civilians. But the film had not closure or “happy” ending.
It was like 9/11 the movie from the view point of one of the people who died in the Twin Towers. You might think that is over exaggerating it, but its not. The movie was about a tragedy that hits New York, It just happen to be a monster attack.

If you are going to go see it, do not, I repeat DO NOT go into it thinking you are going to see a monster movie, what you are walking into is a disaster movie. Just like Armageddon, Dante's Peak, The Day After Tomorrow, Deep Impact, Inferno, and Volcano. Minus the happy ending where the hero wins against the event.

Damn I hope its not true that Vader will be PS3 exclusive. =(
I guess this will be the first (and only) multiconsole game I'll be getting for my PS3 if thats the case.

man it really sucks, Yoda blows.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Leon Kennedy in Brawl?!?
« on: January 07, 2008, 06:23:49 AM »
I agree with Arbok, Jill > Ryu > Leon .... > Mega Man

Anyway after further investigating I would still take this with a grain of salt. Come to find out Kazuya Mishima is on the list too.
Now Kazuya Mishima could be in Smash Bros, Namco doesn't have a character and there was a Tekken game on the GBA.
Since Snake showed us that it takes very little to be in Smash Bros we can't count Kazuya Mishima 100% out.

But it could be a type-o, the guy who does his voice, Toshiyuki Morikawa also did the voice for Heishiro Mitsurugi (Soul Calibur), Dante (Devil May Cry), Ryu (Street Fighter) and Sephiroth (Kingdom Hearts & Final Fantasy VII)

I could see Heishiro Mitsurugi being in Smash Bros.

Nintendo Gaming / Leon Kennedy in Brawl?!?
« on: January 07, 2008, 05:47:57 AM »
New bit of info/rumor came out today from wiisworld.com:

Leon Kennedy in Brawl
Consider this speculation for the time being, but it seems that Leon Kennedy (you might know him from such games as Resident Evil 4) will be featuring in Super Smash Bros Brawl.
Paul Mercier is the actor who voices Leon. On his IMDb page, Brawl is listed as his latest work:

http://imdb.com/name/nm0580444/

If this is to be relied on, there's still a chance he could just be an Assist Trophy. Either way it's exciting news. Welcome, stranger!

I would be very happy to see Leon in Smash. I would have rather seen Jill but Leon isn't bad too.
This would take care of Capcom's spot in Smash.

General Gaming / RE: Sony getting hit Hard lately (Ads Be Darned)
« on: January 03, 2008, 12:39:05 PM »
What I think it going to happen with Final Fantasy is that Final Fantasy XIII will be the last numbered Final Fantasy game to show up on a Sony system.
If Square had the insight on the shift of power that went on this generation when they started production on Final Fantasy XIII they would have moved Final Fantasy XIII over to the Wii. Right now they have put way to much time and money into Final Fantasy XIII to pull the plug and switch system.

The new Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles on the Wii is a test to see how a standard Final Fantasy game will do on the system. When you look at the new Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles it looks like it could have easily taken on the name Final Fantasy XIII.

I'm more then willing to bet that Final Fantasy XIV will be Wii exclusive.

Konami has just been dropping way to many hits that the game is going to go to the Xbox360.
I also wouldn't be surprised if it would turn out to be more the 6 to 8 months after the PS3 version.

I'm willing to bet that the only reason they haven't made an official announcement is because they don't want to piss off Sony and their fanboys.
Also if they were to announce that the 360 version will be coming out a bit more down the road, then some fans might just hold off till the 360 version comes out cause they might figure that the 360 version will have additional content that won't be in the PS3 version.

It was never a question on 'IF' if would come to the 360, it was a question of 'WHEN'. It's just way to dangerous for any company, even someone like Konami to release exclusives games to the PS3, especially one that is costing as much money as Metal Gear Solid 4.

I was looking over the Melee list and got to thinking about how Ness and Roy were pretty much just both axed (I think its unlikely Roy is coming back)

I think Ness and Roy were just updated to the newest version, Just like how Link and Mario are always updated to their newest looks I think thats what happen to both Roy and Ness. Had Mother3 actually come out before Melee Lucas would have been added then. And In Melee Roy represented the newest version of Fire Emblem and now we have Ike.

It's just a theory. But this could be what happens to some of the cast from the original and Melee. I don't know who else this could happen to.

If I were the one making up info, I would have done at least one unbelievable/shocking announcement like Megaman being in Brawl.

There is just nothing earth shattering on the list.
- Capt. Falcon and Luigi return. This was a given.
- Port Town, Makes sence if we get a new F-Zero level. It's one of the major 3 (the other two being Big Blue and Mute City) also its near Capt. Falcon's home.
- Meta-Ridley, We figured Ridley would be in it. And Meta-Ridley offers the easies way to have Ridley scalable since he's pretty much a robot at this point.
- Luigi using Poultergust 3000, I figured this as well since Mario has Fludd.
- Fountain of Dreams. Classic Stage, figured it would be back as well.

Ashley's Manor is the only one that was "out there" but with the fact that they put a lot of effort in her theme by doing it in different languages, I've been having a good feeling she'll be in it.

Ashley is actually one of the most popular characters in the 'Made in Wario' series in Japan. In fact I wouldn't be surprised to find out that she is the second most popular. When she was introduced in 'Sawaru Made in Wario', Japan went crazy for her (so did a lot of people in the US too =P).

I really hope it is Ashley's Manor and not a mis-labeled Luigi's Mansion.

General Gaming / RE: Problems with my XBOX 360
« on: December 12, 2007, 07:25:39 PM »
You lucked out, GameStop stopped offering the extended 1 year warranty on Xbox360, If it wasn't for that you actually would have to go directly to MS if your initial 30days were up. The 3 year warranty is only good through MS, so in order to take advantage with it you would have to call them and ship your system to them.

I'm pretty sure the 3 year warranty will work with used systems. You just need to make sure you have the system registered with MS.
