Circuit City has some games for $5. I bought PN03 and Parappa The Rapper 2.
Here is a list of GameCube games that should be $5. I haven't check if all these games are $5 because they didn't have any copies at my local circuit city. Some stores may not have changed the label on the game so just price check at the counter.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: About Player's Choice Titles
« on: March 16, 2004, 05:15:49 PM »
it looks like Nintendo now just puts any game as player's choice because FZero, Wario World, and Mario Golf are not even close to 450,000

I should've put it in quotes, but that was taken straight from the spider-man going PC/GH/PH press release. PC is indeed shipped units while GH are sold.

There are around 75 greatest hits, 20 player's choice, and 40 platinum hits. I think that Nintendo has done a good job with their budget line. You don't want too many Player's choice games because they do take away sales from the newer games. Also, games like Smash Bros. and Mario Sunshine continue to sell very well at $30 so it wouldn't make sense to drop the price.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: About Player's Choice Titles
« on: March 12, 2004, 06:46:38 PM »
SCEA's "Greatest Hits" status is given to games that have sold more than 400,000 copies for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. The "Platinum Hits" series includes a line-up of titles for the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft that have proven to be all-time favorites, having sold well at retail and been on store shelves for at least nine months. Nintendo's newly launched "Player's Choice" program, recognizes games which have shipped 450,000 units for the Nintendo GameCube(TM).

5
The player's choice requirement is 450,000 shipped units. PC games are $29.99. I think that NinGC is just speculating since some 3rd party player's choice games cost $19.99.

6
how is Mario Party 4 not on the list?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Could Nintendo buy Sony?
« on: August 30, 2003, 12:06:01 AM »
no. Eventhough their profits are down, Sony is still worth billions of dollars. A big reason for their lower profit (they are still making a profit) is they invested a lot of money in fabs to make their chips. They are suppose to recoup that money this year or next.

I think that AV said they weren't working on Super Monkey Ball 3. It was just a rumor.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Will GAmeCube Drop too 99 dollars?
« on: August 24, 2003, 10:16:21 AM »
I don't think that Nintendo will continue the free game if they drop the price to $99. I do expect Nintendo to expand their Player's Choice line when the drop the price. I think the next wave of PC games will be Animal Crossing, Star Fox Adventures, Mario Party 4, Super Mario Sunshine, and maybe Zelda. So if you wait, you might save $20.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Soundtracks with games
« on: August 24, 2003, 10:10:13 AM »
Sometimes they give out soundtracks to the first people who buy the game. I remember getting a Banjo-Kazooie soundtrack.

16
my bet is the RPG mode allows a person to catch all the other pokemon that are not in Ruby or Sapphire.

This game is shaping up to be a must buy.

Cube Europe is reporting that NOE confirmed that 8 players can play on LAN.

Back in July, IGN got to play the latest version

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Mario Kart Discussion (TALK ABOUT MARIO KART HERE)
« on: August 22, 2003, 06:27:29 AM »
IGN is reporting NOE says that 16 players can play on LAN. I don't know if it is a mistranslation and they meant 16 characters, but it would be nuts playing with 15 other people.

I've been reading the forums since opn2000. I stopped reading after opn2000 shut down and started posting sometime last year. I can't remember if I went by this name or LittleKid.

8/11/03 - 8/17/03

3) Final Fantasy CC 67,744 (247,288)

after going most of the year with only one game (Naruto) over 100k, it's good to see three games pass the 200k mark.

TalkBack / RE:More Sakurai Details
« on: August 20, 2003, 10:06:02 AM »
I think that Michael is right. It looks like Nintendo wants to expand and is making Hal a part of Nintendo Tokyo. Maybe Nintendo will use the Q Fund and give Sakurai is own team.
