Does this also apply to Australia?

TalkBack / Re: Predictions for Sept. 13 Wii U Event
« on: September 10, 2012, 01:58:34 AM »
Price: $299 US, 30000 Yen,  299, $399 AUS
pack-in: NintendoLand
pack-in controllers: a gamepad, wiiremote plus and nunchuck
Release date: November 18 US, November 29 Japan, December 6 Australia/Europe

Microtons: $10 eShop card included to bolster initial eShop support. Gamecube games supported, Wind Waker day one.
Megatons: Retro game shown, Q2 2013 launch. DLC worlds for NSMBU. Nintendo games still $50, no bullshit "HD tax".
Unlikely but it'd be nice... tons: Some Wii games to be supported in HD via small patches (UI cleanup, etc) - possibly at a minor cost (~$2). Unified account allows some games to be played on both WiiU and 3DS, anyone with copies of the few games that appear on both get a minor eShop rebate. WiiU golf demo from 2011 has become Mario Golf U.

Podcast Discussion / Re: Connectibites 2012 E3 Reaction Show

So uh, you know how at the end you said "if we're being too negative, tell us"?
Yeah, the tone here was as negative as the days of the 3DS drought, although there was also some anger too.

It was definately a pretty poor conference, but honestly it came across like Nintendo's E3 2012 conference spat in your face and called you a jerk.

If it is Bloober Team, then the smart money is that this game will never come out. They're as bad as the team they spawned from (Nibris). They couldn't even finish that Wiiware game they announced in 2008 (Last Flight).

Now that patching is beginning, I'm curious as to how available patching is to third parties. Any chance NWR will undertake some investigative journalism in the future about how many hurdles are involved in patching, how much it costs, etc? I'm kind of hoping it's not as insane as the $40K punishment to patch a game over Xbox live.

Finally I can choose Wuhu Mountain! I really enjoyed the track, but once the cheaters set in I felt like I could never pick it, even though I was an honorable player.

Wonder what the Nintendo Australia excuse is?

"You're having no new content what-so-ever again this week because... uh.... selling videogames is hard, guys."

This update also revamps the eShop. Not drastically so, but it puts the ticker on the top screen, and splits the bottom screen in to two rows - one for games, the other for the eShop tools.
