Why was Ceric killed by inactivity? He showed up and voted on Day 5.

There's a reason I didn't want to pursue an inactivity rule in the first place and it's because its so easy to miss stuff like that.

(Though he did have to go and become a woman, which I thought was odd.  Now it is cannon that Time Lords can change genders when they regenerate, which I think is kinda silly.)

My biggest fear is that this could lead to a woman doctor.

My biggest fear is that this could lead to a woman doctor.

It will eventually.  People are always trying to be progressive and push the envelope.  They think that gender isn't important for a character so they change the dynamics just because.  Sometimes it works.  (Elementary is good with a female Watson)  But if they would have made Sherlock a female it wouldn't have worked.

They need to do something with the Doctor's daughter and giving the Tardis a personality of sorts.

They dropped both of those story lines, which is silly because they are interesting.  Though the Doctor's Wife is probably good enough to just end the concept of the Tardis' personality.

It depends on the actress. Michelle Gomez is easily the best master we've had since Delgado. *drops mic*

Probably I would say the writing or more important than the actor.
