Nothing I said was offensive in anyway, this is a general chat forum and this is a current event topic.

You need to read the forum rules, because politics is a no-go zone. Doesn't matter which side you're on, take it elsewhere.

EDIT: To be completely clear, read this thread: http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=24657.0

Ah I am sorry, I did not see that. That is unfortunate, but I will delete this topic the in that case. I still hope you Vote for change on election day, thank you for the info.

Nothing I said was offensive in anyway, this is a general chat forum and this is a current event topic.  I am simply asking people to vote for change and therefore the Obama-Biden ticket, if they disagree that is fine, this is not an arguement post this is a plea to vote for change.  I do not see why the moderators would have a problem with that, this is the sort of thing that goes in a general chat forum.

EDIT:  And yeah, I will download it the SECOND it does.

Man I sure hope you're right cause I have wanted this game since it came out way back on the N64 and I gave up on it after the death of the N64.  However, the VC has opened a glimmer of hope that I might get to play it after all, I just hope Nintendo comes through this time.

I think the ultimate final smash this guy could have is to have all 3 come out at the same time and have Squirtle do Hydro Pump, Ivysaur do Solar Beam and Charizard do Fire Blast, together pretty much hitting everything on screen.   That would be total ownage indeed.

BTW guys you were wrong about the Wii Opera Browser, it is going to be a free download for the first 3 months of it's release and yes that is free as in you download it and can use it forever after you do.  Maybe you guys could mention this as a correction in your next Podcast real quick.

After that 3 month period if people want to Download it it will be $5, but come on people you have 3 months to get it if you already have a Wii so just do it, I know I am.

I really think that PS3 home and the Mii's on Wii are very different and the only thing that makes them any like each other are the fact that they some type of 3D avatar.

I think PS3 home is the most interesting thing Sony has done with PS3 yet and though yes they may have been inspired by the Mii system some, instead of flat out copying it at least they tried to be innovative.  I still want to see it more before I am completely sold though, cause Sony has a bad habit of making promises and never coming though with them.  I totally agree with the Second Life comparison's though, if anyone should be calling Sony a copy cat right now it's that games fans and developers.

Regardless of how they have made up, the damage is done. They played chicken and Sony drove off the cliff. Their PR department has once again, for negative gain, gone something so obviously bad that anyone else would have laughed for even suggesting it. I mean as far as PR goes, does anyone there have any knowledge in Pyhciology or international dipolmactic relations? I mean damn.

This should make for some good podcast material.

Yes, please talk about this on the podcast guys please.

(For those who want a clickable link)

Sony's PR machine does it again, although this time it wasn't even a import seller. Really, Sony should be going after the leak if they don't want news to come out early, not the ones who are publishing said stories to the public.

I agree, thanks for making the link clickable.

General Chat / Sony Blackballs/Blacklists Kotaku.com
« on: March 01, 2007, 10:11:44 AM »
Today is a sad day for me personally and for indeed all of gaming and gaming journalism.  Today Kotaku.com one the leading if not the lead Gaming news blog site was blackballed by Sony for reporting a supposed "rumor" that now is  almost confirmed by Sony's fool actions.   In case you do not  know what it is to blackball someone or in this case a website, it mean basically they are dead to you, and do not only not invite you to events, but also not even send you basic press releases.  Kotaku being truly noble in all regards with this still this vows to report on Sony as best they can and not do what some many others may have and shun Sony back and become a hater, they would be justified in my eyes to this, but they have instead decided to be the better men and will continue to do the best they can.

This just illustrates the black-hearted and classless method's that Sony is going to to try to bully the industry, I own a PS2 and love it, but no amount of product can make up for a company that is behaving like a dictator to the gaming community.  You don't know own the me Sony and you do not own gaming journalism.  I ask you good people to stand up and spread this news like a wild fire all over the net, get other's to stand against this clear violation of common business practice by Sony.  I ask this regardless of how much you like or dislike Sony now or in the past, no one controls the news NO ONE this is freedom of the press being oppressed this is one thing no person can allow.

Below is the entire story, please join me in helping keep gaming Journalism free:

TalkBack / RE: Nintendo Offers Wrist-Strap Replacement
« on: December 15, 2006, 02:23:34 AM »
Just so everybody knows I saved the first time I entered a dungeon and quit there in most dungeon's and I also saved in everyone of the times they ask you if you want to and had absolutely no problems. So I don't think those places are the problem Shecky.

The problem might be more something like some people forgot to save, but could of sworn they did and they blame the game and if like 5 guys say that or agree we all of a sudden have a huge problem, what a load of BS.  Also, at most Nintendo will lose like 2 Mil off this a drop in the bucket to them.  They have made at least 100 times that on the Wii already for sure and will only make more and more as it goes on.

Not to mention it's money well spent by Nintendo since now we don't have to hear about idiot's throwing their Wii Remote at their wall or TV anymore like a bunch of morons and then blaming the strap.  Now if somebody throws their Wii Remote like a idiot they have nobody to blame but themselves for not wearing the strap.

TalkBack / RE: Wii Sells 50,000 on First Day in the UK
« on: December 08, 2006, 04:32:36 PM »
This is NOT the stats for Europe, this is only for the UK A.K.A. the United Kingdom, that includes Britan and a few other countrys.  The figure that includes the rest of Europe will be much higher.

Plus this only the first 12 hours, not even a full day and the console in selling at a rate of 1 per second, that is an amazing clip that if kept up will mean hundreds of thousands of Wii's sold in the next few days just in the UK alone as long as Nintendo can keep the supply flowing.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Next Gen Wars: Wii = heavy favorite
« on: December 02, 2006, 09:15:29 PM »
Those numbers are accurate as you can get without official press release.  Plus the Wii still has the Aussie and Euro launches later this week, so get ready for it to shoot up even more very quickly.  At this rate as long as they ship 4 Million Wii's they will sell 4 Million Wii's by the end of the year, and 6 Million by March seems on track also.

This is totally the opposite of what Nintendo actually thinks.  It bothers me how so often Reggie says the right thing and expresses the attitude Nintendo SHOULD have but sadly doesn't.  It makes me hope that someday the higher-ups in NCL will think "hey the stuff that Reggie guy says always seems to go over well.  Maybe we should actually DO that stuff instead of making him look like a liar all the time."  They are less arrogant than Sony is thankfully but I'm still not convinced they don't still think they deserve success just because.

The potential in North America thing actually does make sense for some titles like Fire Emblem that would need to be translated into English (I think there's a SNES Fire Emblem for the Japanese launch).  But for the most part that's just marketing speak.  Though if the really good games are all coming out AFTER March then they probably need to delay the big VC titles for key down times.

With Metroid probably not coming out until at least halfway through 2007 I wager I'll be able to hold out for a Wii long enough for a price cut.

Come on now, you don't think Nintendo is working it's tail off with this Wii launch?  Nintendo might not deliver all it's promise's on time, but at least they deliver them, unlike Sony or MS.

Nintendo is no longer arrogant that cost them the console market with the N64 and then they thought they could beat Sony at their own game with the GameCube and lost again.  This time all arrogance is gone though, they are doing their own thing and using the best part of their company to fuel the Wii, that being innovation.

Nintendo does earn everything they get these days and they deserve respect for it.
