If they go much smaller for consoles they will start competing directly with handhelds, mobiles and iPods.

That may take a bit longer. I have to get a few more paychecks to afford that. So the question remains how long you can wait for this 'gluing' to take place.

Maybe we could save money by having you pull the 'skyhook' trick Batman used in Dark Knight to latch on to a passing cargo plane.

Plus you need to pay your own way back. I only make $11.50/hr right now. Though I might have picked up a new gig for a few hours a week at $20. That would speed things up.

What thatguy said, LOL.

Though it might be better to land at the SeaTac airport since that might score you a non-stop flight. That's the big international airport.

Sometimes when I got there really early to pick up people I would drive around the huge drop off/pick up loop and see how long it took for security to get suspicious. Thankfully they never did take notice.

Some games take a long time to ramp up in difficulty.

Phantom Hourglass was really considered 2.5D? Huh. I never looked at it like that, but it works I suppose.

Could Other M possibly do what Star Fox 64 did and have the gameplay open up into full 3D movement for boss fights?

then why the name "Marathon Mode"? You want to keep going for as long as possible. That is what that mode is for. For a player good at the game, more time playing = higher score.

Pah! I never cared much about VR.

The only game I worried about that in was Phantom Hourglass. I loved that multiplayer.

People might hate me for it but I'll try it. Besides, maybe if I clog up our internet here enough I can flush out whoever it is here that is sucking it up. I still think I need Maxi's code, though.

That would only work if my town was a proven Rainbow Stag breeding ground. I don't think one night like that here can convince people that it would be worth spending money on. Maybe after several more crazy Stag nights I could charge.

Next time you cone over, I'll get you some flowers. Let me look in my back ward and see what the options are :D

I might have to not join you. Internet speed is really bad. I think someone else in the house is being a bandwidth hog. How well can MK handle people with REALLY bad connection speeds?

It's a lot for me from one visit like that.

Also I wasn't expecting what I got to equal that much.

I've only ever caught one rainbow stag, I've chased away about a dozen others. I'm Mr Clumsy sometimes  :D

Those guys tended to translate that to everything they played.

Isn't the point of 'Marathon Mode' in puzzle games to go for as long as possible?

That's exactly why the NES and Game Boy Tetris are the best versions. I like it when my games end after a reasonable length, thank you.

Tell that so some friends of mine. If their games of RTS' like StarCraft last less than an hour it was a poor game in their mind. Real matches take whole days to finish right.

There's this great site I always go to. Lots of awesome people there. Though beware of 'this one guy' and 'the dude with the shyguy avatar' and also 'the one person who is mafia'. They are a strange bunch.

Here is the site.

I also sometimes pop on the Virtual Console Forums but they are pretty slow beat. Having VC-Reviews.com disassociate with them in the assimilation into Nintendo Life really pulled the rug out from under their feet.

I've never been fired, but I have had to fire people. :/
Never fun when that happens.

I also quit a job once with less than 24 hours notice.

So if you remove last week, sales of the DSi have actually increased by several thousand units.

Guess I can't blame a sales decline on poor DSiWare showings. They skipped like two weeks in a row.

« on: June 17, 2009, 05:49:14 PM »
I think this one had to do with a device that detected motion. If I recall correctly the patent was rediculously vague on it's descriptions of the product.

Trying to follow these game patent lawsuits are difficult. Half of them you hear about the initial lawsuit but not the resolution. A lot just slip by without any notice. You almost need to has someone on staff as a legal correspondent to keep track of them all.

Like, does anyone know what happened with the Konami vs Harmonix deal?

Probably because a lot settle out of court the public doesn't always hear the ending.

They don't have to remove backwards compatibility to make a Wii Lite. I think your idea of a Wii Lite, Jake, is still a good one to consider. Just add a new incentive. Perhaps more of a 'Wii DSi'. Add something like the cameras were added on the DS.

Though the M+ may actually be the new "DSi-esque" incentive for Wii, just packaged separately.

'All Your Conference Has Beyond Of Them' is the new 'All Your Base Are Belong To Us'.

It's almost sig worthy.
