The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Unboxing
« on: October 31, 2011, 08:01:53 PM »

...and that was the last we saw of Neal for three weeks...

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/blog/28289

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword came in today. I'd write more about the shiny gold packaging, the really sharp-looking Wii Remote Plus, and the eight-track symphony CD, but I've got things to do. Like play Skyward Sword. Enjoy the pictures. I'll be spewing nonsense about this game soon enough.

That looks awesome, still kind of ironic that the Wii can't play CDs.

I didn't even know there was a limited edition coming out... for some reason.

(I should know better.)

*looks it up on Amazon*

...

$150!?

I love Zelda, but no thanks.

It is actually only $69.99 but Amazon sold out of it already with preorders.

Just walk into your local anywhere and pick it up for $70.

I pre-ordered it from Gamestop for $70.  See? Zelda is so powerful it can even make me shop at Gamestop (Amazon was out).

I preordered at Best Buy. I figured that they would have tons of them. If you haven't preordered yet, I recommend starting there.

I preordered on Amazon a couple months ago. Actually, I got one of those "If you like this you should also buy these two other things" and bought this, Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 in one shot.

Shh...

You guys hear that? That is the sound of a million fanboys crapping their collective undies in sheer envy.

But in all seriousness, this is awesome. The controller is beautiful, and would get this just for the controller.

That random piece of swag you said you would give me for being so patient... you can just send me your copy of the game instead.
But seriously. How awesome is it to get stuff like that early?

Maybe this is old news, but why are the B, 1, 2, + and - buttons white instead of gold?  The remote's hideous!
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

The Clear treatment like the A button would have been cooler.

FAIL.

Skyward Sword doesn't come out till the 20th of November, unless you ordered the Japanese  one in which case would only be easy if you could read Japanese.

And it doesn't matter what price you pre ordered it for, most shipments of the game get here 2 days before the release and you cant get it before that.

If you're saying what I think you're saying, you seem to be unaware that members of the press receive games early so that they can write reviews to be up before their release dates. And Neal's the boss so he gets to take all the good ones for himself. :P
