SGnG is incredibly hard, but it isn't cheap. You learn the rules of the game, you adapt, and you work from there. It's a very well designed game, though; it isn't just like beating yourself in the junk with a mallet. Just gotta put some work into it to experience all the good stuff.  :cool;

Surprise?

The presentation was disappointing, and that was before everything about XBox Live authentication, required 'net connection, and always on Kinect got out. No way, no how; I've had enough of MS with the 360.

What I'd really like to note is EA has since apparently changed their mind on Wii U support. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/05/21/ea-developing-wii-u-games-after-all

I still want Project H.A.M.M.E.R, goddamnit.

I can't wait. These games were worth a trip to the arcade themselves, back in the day... this is also the best gaming information I've had the pleasure of commenting on/writing about all day. ;)

I read that Twitter thread. Not only is it chock full of douchebaggery, but it's partially untrue. Either dude's twitter account was hacked, it's a false account, or he is an unprofessional twit.

If they expand on it without overdoing it or changing the core values of the game? Yes, please.  ;D

Super Metroid and Super GnG. Time to change my pants.

Ridiculous. If you aren't going to follow through, don't release the damned game.

I hear ya. I'm sure I'm not alone in liking multiple reviewers from one site/mag/etc. I think I remember just that happening from time to time here, possibly in the early Planet Gamecube days? Anyway, great work as always. :)

Kung Fu Rabbit got reviewed twice?

This is a seriously solid little game! The review is spot on; this one is absolutely worth the five bucks.

I just found out the Zen Pinball 2 Marvel tables are all half off as well.

This is seriously no bueno. There's a little silver lining, though. By the time the games hit, I'll have actually picked up and gotten through all the launch window games I want. Probably a first!

Great game; not my favorite in the series, but great nonetheless. Extra awesome at thirty cents. I find it amusing that the old NES difficulty is even kind of present here.

The image quality seriously is improved. Played Punch Out!! on Wii VC, then Wii U. The difference is there. I'd also note, that the single save state is, I believe, one per user. I haven't double checked, but my kids play the hell out of Kirby's Adventure, and my save state is intact on my profile.

Edit: You do get a save state for each user; it also seems that having a present save state dramatically effects the time it takes the console to boot up the game.

There isn't anything in this lineup I'm interested in buying, but there are quite a few I'm looking forward to upgrading, not to mention what "new" games get put on the service in the future.

Always marching to the beat of their own drum. Here's hoping!

Great timing, my kids just cashed the demo uses yesterday!

Cross-buy needs to happen. Perhaps... just perhaps the reason it hasn't happened yet (besides Nintendo's stubbornness) is a matter of horsepower and circumstance? Maybe the DS didn't have it under the hood to run everything (esp. N64) as is, and adding it to the Wii to 3DS would be pointless, as they'd given up on Wii? Just a thought, and N is probably just stubborn as usual. Just something that popped in my head just now.

73
I'm willing to bet that they intended for it to go live, but **** went wrong. Disappointed, but c'est la vie.

I'm baffled when I see poor reviews for Zombi U. I've had some friends, hardcore gaming enthusiasts, come by recently. They haven't really seen the Wii U yet (why, Nintendo?! How they've failed to promote this thing so much is beyond me), so in these cases, I bust out Zombi U. That's about four new Wii U owners, thanks partially to the merits of this unique game.
