Mafia LXIV: Day 2
« on: November 19, 2014, 02:03:02 AM »
Day 1 was an exciting back and forth game, which ended tied in regulation and had to go to penalty kicks. In the end, however, lolmonade couldn't stand up to the pressure, and has been eliminated from the tournament.

An internal FIFA investigation concludes that, while there was absolutely no wrongdoing on the part of FIFA, the votes were incorrectly tabulated.

No one was killed by the vote.

No one was killed by the mafia.

Khushrenada, having received the most votes of anyone not killed, is today's Designated Player, putting him at #1 in the Allocation Order for Day 2.

Today's thread will close at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, November 19th. Pretty sure I got the date right this time.

lolmonade was killed by the vote.

My cute little eyes see a contradiction in your statement, you want proof? Well:

as a cute and fuzzy kitten i am very well versed in the internet and thus i feel the need to point out that by using my 1337 Haxor skillz I am able to access chrome's "find in page" utility gives you 4 results for the phrase 'vote lolmonade'

However one of those 4 results is a quote

But a similar search for 'vote khush' reveals 6 results, although three of them are also quotes,

Quote from: Insanolord
But then my stupidly complex and confusing allocation order comes in the case of a tie

One of Lolmanades votes were canceled, thus leaving him with only two votes against him. Khushrenada the kitten hating egotistical meanie doesn't get that luxury.

now do I get a treat for that? The cute fuzzy kitten wants a treat.

Goddammit, I checked that thread like a dozen times. I must have seen Khush's vote for lolmonade in the quote, which doesn't update when someone changes their post. Maybe if people hadn't continuously used massive text and graphics it would have been more legible.

I'll adjust the original post, which I think might surprise a few people.

VOTE POKEPAL, because he's clearly the one at fault here and not in any way corruption or ineptitude on the part of the governing body.

Thank you Pokepal for using your logic reading comprehension skills to save me from a fradulent vote-kill.  Looks like even the GM is out to get me.  Although now i'm confused why there was no mafia kill, must be either because of inactivity or one of the rules I failed to read properly.

Right now, I only have revenge available to me to drive my vote.  unVote Spak-Spang for starting the vote train against me.

I'll be on later.  Back to work for now.

Actually Lolmonade, if you want to get technical.  I didn't start the original vote train against you.

I originally voted for Shyguy.  Then I voted for Lolmonade (you) because I didn't want Khush to be voted out first day, and well there was already votes against you.

So if you want revenge I understand, but I want you to be fully informed.

PS:  I am one of the lowliest of townies and my designation is number 13 today.  So really I am no threat to anyone.

Hi Matthew!

How in blazes... ok, setting the vote on Khushrenada for now.

Well, there's only one inactive player among us and that is Nickmitch. It could be that the mafia chose not to make a hit but that doesn't seem beneficial in a game this size and with a small number of mafia. It could be the person making the hit is active and forgot to send in a hit order, (in which case, keep doing that) or the person targeted was the survivor or doctor protected.

Since there was no mention of the latter, (which I think would be mentioned if it occurred) that leaves us with three options. Of those options, two we can only find out about after the game is over and the beans get spilled. But by voting Nickmitch, we can eliminate option 1 and if it is the correct option, it is a major boost for the townies. Plus, inactive players help the mafia (unless the inactive player is mafia) so eliminating them is still a good move for the townies.

un-Vote Nickmitch

My adorable little eyes see another possibility...

If a player is killed by the vote then any power they have at night is canceled. For example if I'm killed today in the vote I can't use my cuteness to make somebody happy.

Although nobody was killed by vote because insanolord can't count (and he's never living that one down) there was a player who should have been killed and that player was Khush.

Assuming Khush is the godfather, he would know that his night action should have been canceled by his death by the mob so he saw no reason to place a kill.

Now where's my fancy feast, I'm hungry.

To clear up a cpuple things, looking back I see i forgot to mention in the rules that the Mafia hit is the last thing that happens in the night, regardless of the Allocation Order. That didn't have an effect on last night, but it's something to consider going forward.

That's a pretty sweet ride. The problem is that it is so sweet I'm not sure how it could ever advertise itself because what other organization exists that it could partner with that has a reputation of greatness like the 2014 VW Jetta?

You know, Pokepal148, just because you've wanted to reveal your role as the Vote Nullifier in your quest to kill me early by mentioning you cancelled a lolmonade vote to try and make me the majority kill.

I assure you I did no such thing although somebody did cancel their vote. But being a cute and fuzzy kitten I used my superior senses to track down the true culprit. The time has come to reveal who canceled their vote for lolmonade in an effort to kill off our good friend Khush,

You're making me hungry. I'm going to be at the Sandwich machine. Some people seem to think that that the sandwiches are dried up and leathery since they only get changed every few months but they're wrong.

They're the best sandwiches in the city. They're an acquired taste, but like wine and cheese, a good sandwich needs to be aged properly. In the olden days, a pheasant would be aged for weeks before it was suitable for consumption.

In fact, I think I'm going to stock up on a bunch now in case Dave tries to replace the sandwich machine with an arcade system again.

Back off, Dave! These sandwiches are mine!
