The illogically popular Kingdom Hearts series is about to make its debut on Switch by way of a rhythm game.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memories is a rhythm game scheduled for launch in Japan in 2020: no information has been given about a localized version yet. The first trailer for the game is below:

This will be the first representation of the series on a Nintendo platform since the 2012 Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance for 3DS.

Square Enix should be embarrassed that it took them this long to make a Kingdom Hearts rhythm game.

Nomura, on the other hand, has absolutely no shame when it comes to convoluting (no, I don't care that that's not a word) his franchise even more than it already was by apparently sticking lore-critical cutscenes in this thing.

Pretty sure we're still waiting on the first Dragon Quest game that has a good soundtrack.

Snark aside, the Dragon Quest composer is a notorious asshole. I'm pretty sure there won't be a DQ rhythm game until he's finally dead.
