Nice. My whole first semester in college, I did nothing but play video games in most of my classes. In fact, I spent the entire semester of my sociology class creating an intricate World of Goo theme for my old iPod touch.  Then again, I got a C in that class, so maybe I should have paid attention...

Though I don't like how ジンベイ is romanized as "Jinbei".  I feel it should be "Jimbei" (as that's the name of an actual drum).

Unless they pull out a Nintendo Direct out of the blue today or tomorrow, I'm not seeing this as coming before the September 13 event in North America.  Perhaps a translation error?  I'm still quite a ways off from being fluent in Japanese, but it almost seems that the original tweet where it says that Ninty will announce the Wii U stuff "in advance" could actually mean something along the lines of: "I'm just gonna tell you in advance, it won't be done via a conference."

I seriously hope this thing doesn't come with a wiimote+. It would only add to development costs, and most of the core fans that would be buying the system on launch day already have at least one wiimotion+, if not more. I'd prefer a cheaper option with just the gamepad. That being said, my prediction:


October 30 release in both black and white
Bundled with gamepad, Nintendoland, various built-in software (much like the 3DS... perhaps an AR card-style application, using NFC functionality?)
US $299
