Great game! I own both on my vita and they are genuinely scary.  Just shows how much can be done with very descriptive text, minimum graphics, and one of the best sound designs I've ever listened to in gaming.  Seriously, if you don't play this game with headphones on, you are factually doing it wrong. The sound makes the game completely. Get it fans of visual novels and horror games.

All my original 3DS VC dreams come true! I'm so glad I held off on buying these games on WiiU where I new they wouldn't get played. Super Nintendo games belonged on 3DS from day one. Nice to finally see it here before the end. This is only way I'll be able to replay Earthbound.

I've been waiting so long for this ever since they released the first. One of my all time favorite genesis games!

GO STRAIGHT

One of the best first stage soundtracks ever.

I was getting ready for work when I saw this and now I have tears in my eyes and the balloon trip breeze theme in my head. Such a blow to fun all around the world.

I didn't know this was coming to the 3DS! I prefer my RPGs portable and lamented when I only saw the WiiU review. Now I'm psyched, I love Earthbound and this review just sold me the game.

Is this Demon's Crest first release on VC ever in NA?

I absolutely adored this game on 3DS, it was the perfect portable game. WiiU owners are in for a treat.

I'm disappointed that this is not on the 3DS VC.  I am disappointed that Nintendo does not put it's GBA VC on the 3DS.  I can only imagine it's a hardware limitation that they find it difficult to emulate the GBA on VC with any kind of consistency. If that's the case, then I hope the new 3DS will allow them to do that.  Zero mission is the only metroid game I haven't played in the series that I want to, and I wanna do it on the go.

It's Splatoon all day. I was impressed by all the software showcased during the Treehouse Live stream, but from it's intro in the Digital Event to the first extensive demo shortly there after on Treehouse, Splatoon took the show for me.

If they don't include this deal with the digital version, it will be the first physical I've bought for WiiU since launch. It sucks, but I can make this exception for Bayo.

That sounds cool. I missed all the Miyamoto reveals on the treehouse stream and haven't gone back to look through the archived material.

I am super hyped for this game! It gives me a Team Fortress 2/Zombie's Ate My Neighbors via Da Blob feel. I can't wait to play it.

Note: this only applies for the retail version. The eShop version will not have Bayonetta 1.

I haven't seen it written anywhere, but does this game feature any asynchronous multiplayer via online besides the realtime tournaments? That would be huge for me and gaurantee that I grab this game.

If you're looking for something where it's like.. "you do a hole, then the game sends a SpotPass notification to your opponent to follow up at his leisure," then no. That's not in the game. You can, however, play online at the same time like the local multiplayer where you're playing at the same separately (e.g. you both golf on the same hole at the same time)

Thanks for the info. I wish they offered a mode like that on top of what they have, but I'll still bite.

When Game & Wario hits $20, I'll pick it up.  Should have been the price of it from the beginning I think.

TalkBack / Re: Nintendo Video Service Ends in March
« on: February 27, 2014, 08:06:28 PM »
According to my Activity Log. Nintendo Video is #17 at 17hrs32min. As crappy as most of the content was, I have quite a few favorites that I wish were either available to purchase or could be found elsewhere on the web (although most of this stuff IS available on the internet).

-Blue Man Group videos (The Remote being my favorite)
-Dinosaur Office
-OK Go videos
-Bear Shark
-The Kid Icarus movies
-Bravest Warriors (so fantastic!)
-Various Indie bands as mentioned above

It's a shame they didn't take advantage of the service more, but I was exposed to a lot of cool things through it and am sad it's getting cut before really doing anything meaningful for the platform.

TalkBack / Re: Physical Games vs. Digital Games: The Face-Off
« on: February 19, 2014, 09:30:38 PM »
Digital all the way. Physical is for people who sell their games regularly, share them, or collect them.  None of that applies to me and the convenience of it trumps all.  Plus sales are steady and regular for what I want.

I hope to God they add online leaderboards for this one and patch it into the first game. That's the only thing left to make it perfect imo.
