And it is quite a nice selection as well!

Five Nintendo 3DS titles will be seeing a price reduction in the United States starting April 22.

The selection includes Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. These titles will be soon available digitally and physically for a suggested retail price of $29.99.

These five titles sold over 9 million copies combined and in the United States alone. Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land and New Super Mario Bros. 2 performed the best, with each selling over 2.15 million copies.

Got the good games and Mario 2 already (so everything bar New Leaf). Good for those LTTP though.

NSMB2 sold!
Of course, it will probably be $34.99 in Canada, if it goes on sale at all.

I love that they're doing this, it's just too bad that they didn't also include Fire Emblem, Star Fox 64, and Zelda Ocarina of Time.
For $30, I'd download Star Fox TONIGHT! But of the ones they are doing, Animal Crossing is the only one I don't have and I'm not interested.

Have them all but DKCR and having just played it and still playing Mirror Mode, really not interested in buying it again. Now, if like Leo13 mentioned, Star Fox 64, Ocarina of Time or even Kid Icarus were on sale, I could see myself picking up one of those games tonight. Alas, that is not the case.

I'll sell you kid Icarus. I lot of people love that game, but it's not for me.

I already have all of these games and I got most of them used for less than $30.

As if we didn't have enough of over saturated Mario.  DKCR 3D isn't even a good port/remake.

DKCR 3D isn't even a good port/remake.

What makes you say that? I thought it did a good job of bringing it over, and without gyro controls.

Some of the levels lack graphical detail found in the Wii version. Terrible port, 2/10. Would not recommend.

The frame rate is lower, and there are more load times in the 3DS version which is kind of weird considering the transition from optical media to ROM chips. Otherwise, it's a pretty faithful port. I really should use a wrist strap while playing this game because I'm constantly in danger of throwing my 3DS so some things haven't changed. While a higher frame rate is always welcome, Donkey Kong Country Returns isn't really a game that greatly benefits from being 60 frames per second like say, Super Smash Bros. or even F-Zero would.
