Miyamoto "noted that the films will not take away from his work on games."
That is the most important line of the article. I love that he will be spending just as much time on games. Pikmin movies might be fun to watch, but the games are more important.

Speaking of NBA 2K13, Best Buy has it on sale this week for $39

I'm surprised at that. I had heard that Nintendo was going to be hiring a bunch of new people since the Wii U takes so much more man power to create games for. I just figured that their new hires would be doing this port.

Come to think of it maybe that's exactly what they're doing. Maybe they hired a bunch of new people at Monster Games and the vets there are supervising the work of the new guys as they port the game to get experience working with the Nintendo systems.

Wait! What's NCL stand for? Is this a Japanese government agency?

General Gaming / Re: Backwards Compatibility - Good or Bad?

I just wish Nintendo would also either print more of the discs from the best Wii Games or make it so that I could download them. i bought a Wii late in the life so I missed on games like Metroid Prime 3/trilogy and wario ware smooth moves. You can't just go to Walmart and buy them (I checked Amazon today prime trilogy is $199). I'd love it if they pulled it back out and put the discs back on the shelves or just put it in the wiiware shop.

I bought a Wii U on launch day. The Backwards compatibility allowed Nintendo to make extra money. I took my old Wii and gave it to my parents. Consequentially, their Christmas (which would not have included any video games) turned into the purchase of 3 Wiimotes (I still have 1 sibling who lives with them) and 5 wii games (all of them are Nintendo designed and published games). Plus the fact that I ended up buying Pikmin 2 on the Wii with the sole desire to determine if I want to drop $60 on Pikmin 3 (I do). So backwards compatibility gave them controller sales and wii game sales that they wouldn't have had without it and it didn't take away from the Wii U console or game sales.

I don't know anything about the link cable, but when they first came out my best friend got Ages and I got Season. We played through our own game got the code you get when you conquer it and then we borrowed each other's games to play the other and get the extra content.

Having played both I'd have to say Ages was certainly harder and I enjoyed Seasons more (but just because I wasn't frustrated as often)

Great games I NEVER re-play Zelda games, but I just might this time.

I purchased this game the day it came out and I have enjoyed it. Plus I've seen improvement in my abilities to focus at work and while playing basketball.

If you don't already have an external hard attached to your Wii U, you might as well buy one cause you'll need it eventually. I bought one when I tried to download NBA 2K13 and didn't have enough space. With 2TB I figure I'll never have a problem again.

I wish they were doing Metroid Prime Trilogy for the 3DS. I was a late adopter of the Wii and by the time I got it the Metroid Prime Trilogy was no longer on store shelves. Don't get me wrong, I do own DKCR for the Wii and I love that game, but I'm not going to buy a second copy especially when I always play with my wife and I doubt the 3DS one will incorporate download play.
If they were doing the Metroid Prime Trilogy for the 3DS I'd absolutely buy it without hesitation. The only Metroid game I've played is Other M and I really liked it and everyone tells me that the Prime games are better so I wish that would have been the choice.
