...Nintendo still needs to sell over 7.5 million systems in December...

Don't you mean by the end of March 2014? That is when their fiscal year ends, after all.

I liked Paper Mario: Sticker Star a lot, and this looks to be even better than that. I'm definitely glad I pre-ordered this one.

I can't wait to get the soundtrack CD. Majora's Mask is one of my favorite Zelda games ever, so this is perfect for me! Once I rip it to my PC, It'll sit nicely on my shelf next to the Ocarina of Time OST that released alongside OoT3D.

TalkBack / Re: Fluidity: Spin Cycle Review
« on: January 02, 2013, 05:04:19 PM »
I'm actually enjoying Spin Cycle a lot more than the WiiWare original (and I really liked that game). The style is better, and I like the more linear levels. The 360 degree rotation levels are definitely the weak point, but I'm still  having fun with them.

NoA brought DQ6 and 9 over, so I really hope they decide to localize this, too (not like Square Enix will).

I've got the Wii U version pre-ordered on Amazon, and I'm really looking forward to it! 1080p Skylanders is gonna be awesome! The 3DS version will be mine by the end of the year, too (I loved the first 3DS game).

TalkBack / Re: Licensed Nintendo DS Games That Don't Suck
« on: September 18, 2012, 11:08:01 PM »
Gigant Battle is easily my favorite licensed game for the DS (and not just because I'm a huge One Piece fan!). The gameplay is great, and the atmosphere is spot-on.

TalkBack / Re: Gold Nunchuk on US Club Nintendo

Already ordered mine. Finally, I'll have the entire gold Wii controller set! Using a different colored Nunchuk has always bugged me a little, so this is great.

TalkBack / Re: Wii U Features No Built-In Storage
« on: June 13, 2012, 11:12:59 AM »
If they don't have internal storage, they'll probably throw in an SD card or something, like they do with the 3DS. I've got my 320GB external drive standing by for when I get the system, though, so it really doesn't matter all that much to me, personally.

Other than the flag poles, this basically looks like New Super Mario World- and I can get behind that! Definitely a day 1 purchase (even if it wasn't at launch :P) The graphics look nicer, the music sounds better, and overall, it just looks like a huge step up over NSMB Wii.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: DSi and DSi XL dropping in price on May 20th
« on: May 12, 2012, 12:49:18 AM »
Not at all...not at all. It's fucking hideous. The top screen goes all the way down to the hinge, with a huge gap above it, screens have different aspect ratios, the top sticks out further than the bottom when closed, beveled edges, little square hole for the notification LED, different colored bezel around the cartridge slot. It really looks like a huge step backwards as far as body design is concerned. The top of the bottom half is the only part that looks good...aside from the square power button and the stupid SELECT/HOME/START keys. I don't know...it probably looks even worse because I have the stupid teal one.

It's still a rad little handheld though.
I have the Zelda edition 3DS, while my younger brother has the Flame Red unit, and they both look really nice. The Zelda version is especially nice, since it has gold trim wherever there's silver on a regular unit, in addition to having a nicer looking color gradient on the layers.

TalkBack / Re: Xenoblade's Graphics: Why HD Does Not Matter
« on: May 07, 2012, 04:26:33 PM »
HD or not, this game's already taken 70 hours of my life, with a ton of stuff left to go! Only a select few games manage to get me to invest that much time into them, and Xenoblade is most definitely one of them.

I still want Kirby's Block Ball. The game page is just sitting there on the eShop, taunting me with the message 'Coming Soon'.

Better late than never, I suppose. I was literally about to import this from the UK, so this is a nice surprise! So far, 2012 is looking to be a pretty good wrap-up for the Wii's console cycle.

I really like the controls...especially since I own one of these!  ;D

While I disagree with the visuals being below average (I really enjoy them), I do agree that this is one of the best JRPGs in a very long time. Not many games can hook me for 60+ hours, but this one is doing it so easily!

TalkBack / Re: Pokémon Black and White Sequels Announced
« on: February 25, 2012, 07:54:47 PM »
It's not really that surprising, is it? Just look at the time span between R/S and D/P, or D/P and B/W. The new generation game will be for 3DS, but the continuation/expansion of the current game is on the platform that the originals released on. I'd prefer they not shoehorn the DS games onto 3DS, and instead build wholly original games for the system, which is exactly what they're doing.

Personally, I can't wait to find out more about these games!

Nintendo Gaming / Sakura Samurai software update
« on: February 04, 2012, 12:33:34 AM »
Nintendo just released an update for Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword in the eShop. This is most likely in response to the loading screen freeze issues.

I'm in the same boat as Zach, since I love to collect this kind of stuff. I really like these pins, and the box really ties the entire package together nicely (not to mention it looks real nice with all my other Nintendo swag on the shelf.)

TalkBack / Re: No Left-Handed Option in Skyward Sword? No Problem
« on: October 17, 2011, 07:30:33 PM »
Most of the complaints I read about on Kotaku and IGN were basically people saying that they were lefties that didn't normally play with the Wii Remote in their left hand, and that it felt awkward to them to do so in this game. If you haven't done this since the beginning, of course it'll feel strange. I've used the Wiimote in my left hand and the Nunchuk in the right since Feb. 2007 when I got the Wii with Twilight Princess. So for me, it's just as natural as a NES gamepad to hold it that way. I didn't have any issues with Red Steel 2, and its lack of a lefty mode, so I'm not concerned at all about the lack of it in Skyward Sword. Still, it's always good to be reassured about these things!

I'm pleasantly surprised with Catrap. I took a chance based on all the positive reviews, and it's a pretty great little download!

TalkBack / Re: Wii Hardware Revision Confirmed for North America

Whoa! So much negativity. There's one line in that press release that makes all of it null and void.

The standard Wii bundle, which includes a Wii console (white or black), matching Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk controllers, Mario Kart™ Wii game and Wii Wheel™ accessory, will continue to be available at a suggested retail price of $149.99.
Unlike NoE, NoA's not getting rid of the good system. They're just selling another SKU in tandem to the current one. I don't see an issue with that.
