Actual (rather pityful) numbers don't matter. What matters is the fact that no matter how anemic, sparse and abused Wii U audience is, it still paid some attention to Ubisoft's delayed release. While on other platforms with huge install bases it was just a white noise.
To be fair, on the other platforms it's actually a pretty crowded time right now. This is what I'm looking at picking up in
just the next 2 weeks:
- Rayman Legends (Vita)
- Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (PSN)
- Disney Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (PSN)
- Kickbeat (PSN)
- Killzone Mercenary (Vita)
- Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (PS3)
- Puppeteer (PS3)
Yeah, I'm getting Rayman, but it's an
expensive 2 weeks for me. I'm just lucky I don't give a **** about GTA 5 or Wonderful 101 anymore, or it would be even more ridiculous.
It's looking like Rayman Legends will be the bargain bin sleeper hit that Rayman Origins was. Considering that Wii U store demos are
still playing the launch day Rayman demo and considering the Wii U's lack of games right now, I would
hope that it would be selling better on Wii U. From the looks of it, though, selling "better" will be small consolation given the overall sales numbers.
