I read it in Nintendo Power. I can't find anything about it online though...

It might just seem like there are lots due to how many people you find selling it because they think it is worth something.

Well, it's mere because I remember a whole lot more than 50,000 pre-ordering it and don't recall ever hearing that anyone who pre-ordered did not get one. Maybe it was store specific like Conduit Special Edition was Gamestop specific? Though that would have to mean Toys R Us had the exclusive because that is where I got both Ocarina and Majora.
