TalkBack / RE:Mega Man Anniversay Compliation on the Way
« on: September 12, 2003, 04:52:26 PM »
Hell yes! this is insanely surprising.  Mega Man has been near and dear to me, well, the old school Mega Man that is, not the new blah ones.  Mega Man 3 remains one of my top games of all time.  One thing that raised my eyebrow though..."updated soundtracks"...I love the soundtracks exactly how they are, in their dated, using only 4 instrument, aural bliss.  I just hope they don't try to spruce up the soundtracks too much as the the music in Mega Man was a gigantic part of the game.  I'm out.

TalkBack / Soul Calibur 2 - More Link Action!
« on: March 30, 2003, 09:32:03 PM »
Yes, mad props for putting them up in MPEG format.  I'd like to see some more throws by Link though, I believe I've only seen one but I know that in the original each character had at least four throws.  Anyway, thanks for putting them up for all to see free of charge

Nintendo Gaming / GBA SP recharger/ Power supply
« on: March 25, 2003, 06:59:58 PM »
OK so I've read the GBA SP manual already, but I need someone to just clearly clarify this for me, here's the deal...
My GBA SP is fully charged, so I decide to play it for say, 2 or 3 hours.  After I'm done playing would it be wise to just plug it in so that it may charge? (even though obviously the orange indicator isn't anywhere close to lighting up) or will that somehow wear out the battery?  I'd appreciate an answer here because I'm a freak who likes to have MAX POWER at all times thanks fellas.

TalkBack / The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker RELEASES!
« on: March 25, 2003, 03:25:16 PM »
Yeah, blasphemy!  I got the game and played it between two of my classes for about an hour and a half just soaking in Outset Island.  I have a massive exam tomorrow which I must study for tonight, but tomorrow night you can bet your Deku nuts that I'll be playing the hell out of it.  It's impressed me thus far, oh well, back to studying...

How come after making the correct changes to a previous post of mine and clicking "Edit Message" I just get the message, "You cannot post to this category."  What am I doing wrong here?  Any feedback would kick ass...

TalkBack / Warning About Latest Nintendo News Letter
« on: March 24, 2003, 07:52:25 PM »
I'm seeing triple over here...anyway about your comment Vegetendo 101, I think the spoiler encompasses more than the obvious "figure" you're talking about.  Nevertheless, we should all email Nintendo and let them know to keep an eye out for silly oopsies like this one.  Even if Planet GameCube hadn't told you that it was such a huge spoiler, you could put two and two together and assume such.  Oh and for those of you who haven't seen the image yet, it has NOTHING to do with Tingle and his red bikini briefs

Fiddlesticks! next time I'll make sure to visit Planet Gamecube BEFORE I check my random emails  Oh well, could it have been that much of a spoiler though? seems like a senseless thing to do if they're trying to keep something a surprising secret.  Alas, I'll enjoy the hell out of the game regardless

Nintendo Gaming / Soul Calibur 2.....
« on: March 20, 2003, 08:48:41 PM »
The first Soul Calibur, along with Ocarina of Time are the only games thus far that I consider to be "perfect" games.  For those of you unfamiliar, Soul Calibur in an INCREDIBLY deep and thoroughly enjoyable fighter that only gets more fun as you and your friends master it.  This coming from a guy that gave up on the fighting game genre years ago.  Seriously, everything from the outfits to the soundtrack to the play mechanics, to the stages and extras are the pinnacle of what a fighting game should be.  The game was and is absolute perfection in what it does and thems some big shoes to fill for Soul Calibur 2  Of course I expect nothing but amazing things from the sequel, add to that the luxury of being able to play as a badass Link and you have a must-buy game for any fan of Zelda, Soul Calibur, or just interactive entertainment.

As I mentioned on the Talkback thread, I would've liked Namco to get a bit creative and have at least one alternate outfit for Link, as well his own stage since I haven't seen that CLEARLY depicted.  Alas, having Link is sweet enough, who cares about Spawn or Heiachimachiblah.

TalkBack / SP Headphone Adapter MIA?
« on: March 20, 2003, 08:05:31 PM »
Well I for one am looking forward to playing my GBA SP almost exclusively with headphones on and was planning on simply picking up the official adapter come the 23rd.  However, the aforementioned deal dafunkk12 spoke about sounds pretty sweet indeed.  It appears that I will be hunting come the release date though as I just recently decided to purchase the SP (my first portable) last week, unfortunately all the big chains in my town have filled up their pre-orders so I'll be bouncing between places that didn't have a presell system and see if I luck out that way.

TalkBack / Link Soul Calibur 2 Commercial
« on: March 19, 2003, 04:31:30 PM »
I've been anticipating this one forever and this latest video only makes the stain on my boxing shorts further expand.  Looks like we might have to shell out some cash on a more suitable controller though.  On another note, I still say that Link should have an alternate outfit not simply a red tunic, and at least give the man his own arena eh?  Seriously though, get an American voice in there and bring that exact commercial to the states.  Sad to say that would probably be the coolest Gamecube commercial we'd get here in the U.S. of A.

TalkBack / Nintendo Scores Awards from Game Developers
« on: March 10, 2003, 08:26:02 PM »
So only Animal Crossing and Metroid Prime picked up awards?  Well one might as well look at the positive what with Prime receiving Game of the Year and all.  Like Ian mentioned however, Nintendo isn't (aren't?) likely to throw out new commercials emphasizing all the acclaim their games have been showered with, especially games that have been out for a handfull of months...although if you're an insomniac and watch late night television as I do, you will see a TV spot for GTA: Vice City just about every night these days.  That repetitive commercial is the very reason that my brother, a casual gamer, bought a Playstation2.  So Nintendo, consistent advertisements for long periods of time work! do it already!
