Enjoyed the trailer but even more please by what it means in the end. Instead of a direct crossover ala Project X Zone where you have actual characters and locations merged together it seems like they very well could be merging the themes and overall elements of both franchises together to create something new that ultimately in the end reflects both series but  is original. I think in the end that might end up being the better choice..

This was certainly interesting news to wake up to today.

If Nintendo has to do mobile games then this is certainly the way I would want them to do it. Not porting games, and I'm glad they were very clear about that, but only making new games with the goal of pushing people toward their own hardware. Games that are clearly made for mobile and with them not trying to shoehorn a console or 3DS game.

The NX is interesting. I think we can kind of guess what we're getting with mobile direction. Not a Pokemon RPG for example but more things like Pokemon Shuffle, maybe card games or even PokePark style games that generate interest for the RPGs on the 3DS or it's successor. At least that's what I imagine the goal is. With the NX we don't know if it will replace the Wii U or 3DS or both or if it could be a catch all code name for both a new home console and new portable connected by the same OS. I hope it's the later one as I do want to seperate devices still.

iYakku on youtbue has put the translation directly on top of the video. No need for turning captioning on now.

The latest trailer/nintendo direct about the game has been translated and subtitled. You have to make sure closed captioning is on. There are few grammar mistakes here and there I believe.

$255 for me with just the 3-5 day shipping. It sucks you can't do in store pick up.

I really wanted to the Zelda version though but those were gone almost instantly. Honestly I actually wish it was just the system and not the game. I like Monster Hunter but  sure I want to play it at the moment and the system is more important. Oh well.

As I play through the game the DLC seems priced well for what you get.  I'm always wary of DLC announced so quickly but there is enough content in the game as sold that I don't feel like I'm being cheated or if something was pulled from the game. If the game wasn't already satisfying on the content front I'd certainly feel differently. So I'll be picking it up the pack as I've been enjoying the game a LOT.

I think Hyrule Warriors has managed to potentially make a musou fan out of me. I'm certainly willing to try out another game like this going forward. That is if one gets release don the Wii U or 3DS going forward or I come across something cheap on the PS3 or PC.

Took them long enough to set a date. Surprised they didn't just cancel it. Now to see what the game actually looks like. Already it seems there is nothing interesting other then the map on the gamepad and off tv play. I know some people are going to buy this full price. I wish they wouldn't but can't stop that.

There was a time when I really wanted the game. Looking forward to it but that's no longer the case. I might still grab it when the price bottoms out and is below $20 as I'm still somewhat interested it. There are other games I'm far more interested in and I feel are more deserving of my money this Fall.

I would be really excited by these new models as I have yet to buy a 3DS XL but I know the New 3DS exist. I don't want to buy an XL only to find out that the new model is releasing in January or February. I want to have the C-stick built in along with the extra buttons for Monster Hunter 4 and Smash Bros. I don't see a benefit personally of getting one of these now. I almost wish I didn't know about the new model.

Price is around what I figured they'd see these at. Interested in picking up the Link, Samus, Mario, and Peach ones first.

Wow. Had not realized that there still isn't a date for this. Yet has not been confirmed as canceled. I was looking forward to this but now I don't know. It really does depend on the price and content going forward. Especailly since it didn't turn out as great as some were hoping. It being a first entry in a potential series that might be understandable. However forget about it's sequel coming to the Wii U. Which makes picking this up even harder in the end as even if it's a success (relative to the system numbers) it's likely meaningless when it comes to future support.

40
I can't help but think negative about this. Why now? Is it a bone toss because Advanced Warfare isn't being released on the Wii U?  There was nothing at all to do in the office one day? Some intern training?

41
Thing is that they're just costumes. No real impact on the gameplay. Also it's not like they wouldn't be available later on on the eShop. Even for a small fee. Hell they might even be unlockable in the game.

42
They're doing a great job of causing to me to look forward to this game even more with each new trailer and reveal.

I'm still in awe. :Q ;D  Looks amazing and like all Nintendo games it's likely to look better by the time it releases.

Sorry for the misspelling.

Interesting comment. The character did look more feminine compared to all the other Link's we've seen. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was Zelda or a sister or someone brand new.

Thanks for the live blog.  ;D

The presentation in this direct was amazing. Between this, the Smash Bros and Tomodachi Life directs I can only imagine what the E3 presentation is going to be like.

That said I don't mind chat in just lobbies. When I'm racing I don't really have anything to say. Though it would be nice to have it for friend only matches. The uploading of clips and matches to YouTube and Miiverse is what I find more interesting.

The bundle is good but meaningless if they don't advertise the hell out of it. The games are here. All that is left to be addressed is marketing.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Do you regret buying a Wii U?
« on: February 17, 2014, 08:47:09 PM »
Actually I do at times. There are times where I love it. There are times I'm glad I have it. Times where I can put in a play session that last an entire afternoon and into the night. There are also times I don't touch it and I hate that it's next to my TV and a PS4 or XBO isn't. Hate that I believed Nintendo's pitch for the system at E3 and expected/believed something I should have know wasn't going to happen.  That I don't have the extra money to buy a PS4 or XBO and feel I invested incorrectly when I did have the money. That I didn't just double down on my PS3 instead.

I think that's really the issue in the end. There are times where I honestly feel I was taken as fool. I don't feel like my investment is paying off. That influences with how I enjoy games on the system. I don't think it should but it does at times and is why there are times where I don't bother with the system. I don't want to feel that way.

Some people say one shouldn't allow a gaming hobby to affect you like that. They're just games and there are more important things. Get your priorities straight. I feel $300+ for the system is quite important and nothing to be dismissed. The money spent on games is important. The system wasn't an impulse buy and it's why I use the word investment.

I have games for the system. However many of them were likely bought in hopes they would help justify the system's purchase to myself. Sure I was interested in them but none of them were really must haves I feel. Under different circumstances I wouldn't have bothered with them. I'm stuck with them now because it's not worth it to trade them or resell them and that adds to the frustration.

I'm finding it very hard to see this as anything but canceled and the true announcement simply hasn't been cleared for some reason.
