TalkBack / Re: Best Buy Offering Coupons at Smash-Fest

If it's just for the ones with the demo, then it's BS. It's bad enough that so few Best Buys get the demo (nearest one to me is a 6-7 hour drive), but discounted games too?

Note: this only applies for the retail version. The eShop version will not have Bayonetta 1.

Who said that?

Nintendo's E3 website, which says it will be only for the retail release of the game.

I was surprised by just how much I liked the trailer for Splatoon during the Nintendo Digital Event. I am pretty interested in the game, I just wish it was coming out sooner than 2015.

Splatoon surprised me at how interested I am in it. I don't see myself getting Captain Toad unless it's budget priced. And i'm pretty happy that Mario Maker is real, I just hope it includes SMB3 and SMW assets too and not just SMB/NSMB.

Widely expected, so no surprise. Hopefully they aren't silent like the Miis in Mario Kart Wii were.

Interesting. Toad's first game as the star since Wario's Woods I believe.

TalkBack / Re: New Star Fox Title Coming to Wii U in 2015
« on: June 10, 2014, 12:38:04 PM »
Nice to hear, I am not a big fan of the series (though I liked the N64 entry) and do know it's one of Nintendo's B-level franchises, but maybe now Star Fox fans will stop whining LOL. And love to have more Wii U games

383
Maybe i'll wait to buy any Ubisoft games at all til they support Wii U more

384
**** you Ubisoft

385
I'm glad Capcom realizes how much easy money the VC can be. Very little work involved, so easy to profit.

Also as for the Silcoon/Cascoon comparison...

See those two Pokemon above? They're different Pokemon. They couldn't be bothered to come up with different names, so they just put a tacky Male or Female symbol in the name. Truly awful.

The Nidorans look different though, Silcoon and Cascoon don't.

azeke, I think very few people made that confusion since Gaijen Entertainment made games with niche appeal.

The new name is so stupid. Sounds like a cat food company.

TalkBack / Re: Mario Maker to be Revealed at E3?
« on: June 06, 2014, 10:20:17 AM »
Call me crazy, but I was super hyped about LittleBigPlanet... until I played it.  Mario Maker won't interest me until there is an active community making good levels... and then only if Nintendo nails level curation and makes sharing and those levels.

I don't expect much.... and if this is Miyamoto's new 3DS IP...

It's not a new IP, so this wouldn't be his new IP. The problem with LittleBigPlanet was that the controls sucked. Nintendo is good with their platofrming controls, so they could make the idea work.

I hope this is real, i'd love to be able to make my own platforming Mario games (legally). Hopefully it wouldn't be limited to just SMB assets though, at least add in SMB3 and SMW.

Maybe 1001 Spikes, have no interest in the others (maybe Zelda, but already own that on my 3DS)

391
I hated Ruby and Sapphire. I thought the world was bland, the new Pokemon were not interesting. I did like the introduction of 2 on 2 battles though.

I hate golf games, so I rarely played it in the SD version of the game. Really liked tennis, liked bowling (though was not that good), and liked baseball. Not sure I would find it worth $40.

TalkBack / Re: Nintendo Rolls Out Wii U Update: Features Quick-Start
« on: June 04, 2014, 08:58:42 PM »
Tried downloading it yesterday (and to get my free copy of Wii Party U), but kept giving me errors.

394
Would be funny if they continue charging for the DSiWare versions of this game (so you get the full game for free on Wii U, but have to pay to download it on DSi/3DS).

395
But since they are now selling WiiU at a profit, they are pretty much in the clear.
Whoa, they are? Do you have a link?

They announced at their investors meeting about a month ago.

I tried to get the game at my job the other day so I could get a discount, but they hadn't gotten it yet :/

When I do get the game, i'll get my free copy of Wii Party U (don't really have interest in it, buy I already own the other 3 games they are giving away with the offer).

I'm happy to get more Wii U games, but honestly that video does not make the game look that interesting.

TalkBack / Re: Black Wii U Console Being Phased Out in Japan
« on: June 02, 2014, 02:55:31 PM »
Why? Seems like the black Wii U is more popular, or is the white more popular in Japan?

398
Excellent news, the game is already off to a fantastic start (probably near the top of the NPDs) and should help the Wii U

399
Why isn't Natsume publishing the game like they do for the rest of the series?

TalkBack / Re: Smash Bros. Best Buy Demo Event Detailed
« on: May 27, 2014, 10:49:31 PM »
Once again Nintendo is useless with their Best Buy plays. Their closest location to me is about a 5 hour drive, and I live within 1 hour of 3 major cities (each over 100K people).
