It's pretty funny to read some of the responses from Japanese fans on Twitter about this, including some people thinking that this will somehow stop you from playing your existing games

UN
LIMITED
ANIME

Straight from the Sony megacorp.

Seems kinda sacrilege to have Sony content on a Nintendo platform huh?

It's actually the second thing from Sony available on Switch today.
Second?  Remind me of the 1st?

MLB The Show 22, there is a technical test available to download on the eShop. It will run from today until February 22 in order to test out cross platform play before the official launch of the game

Yet still no Netflix LOL.

Personally I think EarthBound is overrated. Is it a bad game? Not really, but it has some serious flaws and I just didn't get into it.

30
"gerbils"? Did Nintendo refer to them as that or did you? Because they are dogs, not gerbils

31
The home design was always my least favorite parts of Animal Crossing games, it's why I never bought Happy Home Designer on 3DS and have no interest in paying for it on Switch (I haven't actually bought New Horizons because I don't like how many features from past games are STILL not in this one, or how you have to download holiday updates instead of them being in the game already like they always have been)

32
The balls on this fucking company sometimes. Jeez....

Yeah, because $4 a month for online service and hundreds of free games to play is a terrible deal.

33
I like this. I might re-purchase these, even though the soundtracks won't be the same (like when they re-released them digitally on Xbox 360 and some songs were removed because the licenses had expired and they didn't want to renew them).

It's kind of hard to praise him considering his vile views. He may be a talented composer, but a lousy human being

I loved that they put a button in just to hug the blob, it reminded me of how Luigi's Mansion had a button just to have him call out for Mario.

TalkBack / Re: Mario Movie was announced by Nintento

I'm sure this cast can do fine, but I really just despise the trend of replacing dedicated voice actors with Hollywood actors "because movie".

Nintendo, you already hired Illumination, so you already signaled that you don't care about the quality of this movie, but why did you think it was necessary to do this in an animated movie? Did Charles Martinet tell you he couldn't do that voice for 75 minutes?

What's with the shot at Illumination? They are actually one of the better animation studios out there.

As for Martinet, go listen to him speak in full sentences in Mario Teaches Typing. His Mario voice is good for short bursts, but is not great when it comes to speaking full sentences.

Once again Europe ruins things for everyone. This is the same reason that the game corners were removed in Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee and why it won't be in Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl. Nintendo, and other publishers, don't want to spend extra money to make a separate version just for Europe, so the rest of the world gets screwed. If I was a publisher, I would just say f*** Europe and not release any products there. Europe is the same place that decided child rapists and murderers have the right to force search engines like Google to remove links about them (so if you googled their name, links to articles about their crimes won't show up)

TalkBack / Re: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD (Switch) Review
« on: July 21, 2021, 07:00:54 PM »
I never played the original game on Wii (when it came out, I didn't have a job and had to use the money I did have towards rent and bills) and by the time I had a chance to get it the game was no longer being printed and I couldn't find a copy. I'm still early in the game (I only just finished the Wing Ceremony) but am enjoying it, I do have major issues with controlling Loftwings though (and a search online shows that this was a issue with the Wii version too, as the in-game tutorials for Loftwings are not that helpful), it took me way too long to finish that part. I'm not sure why Groose was getting so much love from the Treehouse members, though i'm still early in the game and I suppose he could get better since at least in the beginning of the game he is a bully and kind of a perv towards Zelda.

TalkBack / Re: FIFA 22 Coming To Switch As Legacy Edition Again
« on: July 11, 2021, 07:24:33 PM »
Charging $40 for a 3 year old game, and EA wonders why people don't buy the Switch versions of their games? They are releasing a game they made back in 2018 and the only change is a roster update. I'm not saying they can't do that, but it really should be like $14.99 or at MOST $19.99 if it's literally the exact same game they released the last few years with just the rosters updated.

I'm interested in the game, though i'm surprised that Nintendo thinks Peach's Birthday Cake was one of the best boards from the series. It's an OK board, but I actually think it's a really boring stage. Hopefully it will be more than just 5 boards (which is what they implied in the Direct), i'm worried because Super Mario Party only had 4 boards and that really limits replayability.

42
Pokemon Diamond was the last Pokemon game I beat, after that i've played Black, X, and Sword but not finished any of them. I might pick up this remake, depending on the changes they make. I hated that Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee they removed the Celadon Casino (because of Europe's ridiculous laws).

I like those options, especially since I like shoot em ups but I'm not usually good at them lol. This way I could play through them without dying

44
That was unexpected. Even though it was a fun game, I stopped playing because there was a limited amount of stuff to do. Having new minigames is nice, but I'm disappointed that there are no new boards because the game only has 5 and it gets boring doing the same ones over and over. Heck, I would have even been ok with them just adding retro Mario Party boards

TalkBack / Re: Nintendo Buying New Panels For Upgraded Switch?

These "rumors" have been around since before the Switch even launched. At this point you shouldn't even bother reading them. And believing people who claim to be insiders is dubious, because they have been making this same claims for years too.

Did they explicitly say this was going to be a Switch game?

The beginning of the trailer has the Switch logo, so yes.

TalkBack / Re: Space Invaders Forever (Switch eShop) Review

Hard PASS. I like Space Invaders, but this is not a good package. I'm never gonna get 3 others to play it with me, so 1 of those won't even be played by me. That means it's $30 for 2 games for me.

48
I wonder if the price at Walmart will drop too (Walmart stores already charge $49.97 for all Switch games that are $59.99 at other stores).

TalkBack / Re: Persona 5 Strikers Officially Launching February 23
« on: December 09, 2020, 07:05:33 PM »
More games is always good, but it's annoying when a publisher will release a spinoff on the Nintendo system but not the main game. Switch gets the Persona/Dynasty Warriors crossover but not Persona 5 or its enhanced version Persona 5 Royal.

Why did Nintendo never fight him? He had no case, he was far from the first magician to "bend" spoons. Nintendo could have easily defeated him in courts.
