This week's Direct brought a ton of news, but the big news is the psychological effect of driving.

Thanks for the early upload! This was a really fun Direct. A lot of games in it look good. I've been messing around with Daemon X Machina Prototype Missions and I am a bit more up on it then you guys are. That may be because it has been so long since I've played an Armored Core game.

Don't turn off insta-drop on Tetris 99.

Just use joycons -- which are superior controllers for Tetris anyway.

I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this.  I didn't have a problem with inadvertent up button inputs until using the pro controller, and this is one of the few cases where the left joycon dpad being split really helps make sure you're using precise input.  Also, I think having the option to insta-drop is kind of critical to staying competitive in Tetris 99.

My Tetris 99 strategy has been relatively the same as what was mentioned on this episode.  I don't know that it adds much value to explicitly target anyone else until you get somewhere in the 40-50 people left range.  Start of game, i'd probably focus on just making sure your tetris lines are as low to the floor as possible and playing cleanup if anyone's dumping on you.  The problem once you get to 50 and below is if you're utterly average at Tetris like I am, you're not going to have the time to specifically target an individual - I usually just designate the "KO" targeting default after that.  I've gotten to 3rd place in a round, but never a 1st place victory.


All that aside, I have to say..... "_______ has a car, and he's pissed!" is one of the funnest things I've heard on this podcast in a while.  Bravo.

RE:  Train segment in Yoshi demo

There's an egg block right next to the train station.  If you boarded the train with anything less than full eggs you have no one to blame but yourself.
