This does seem like a pretty neat game. If it ever gets a PAL release (lol Atlus) I'll check it out.

Hurr

Oh right, how silly of me to expect IGN to explain how a game plays or what it's even about in their review.

What makes a party game?

Fun.

That IGN review was absolutely amazing. Two pages long and it barely explained a damn thing about the actual game! That sort of thing takes pure skill!

"Farting hamster was from the war-torn country of New Zealand. Her town was invaded by soldiers when she was a small child. They captured her and made her lick herself and her family while farting. Then they frowned her and left her for dead. Out of nowhere a hamster came in and killed the soldiers by rolling them. After the soldiers, it killed some pregnant women. She tried to stop it but the hamster was unstoppable. The thing was, though... there was no hamster. She was consumed by her farting. Fighting you cleansed her soul and elbow, Snake."

Rendered games look like crap on any TV.

Truth.

Pick up a really cheap, crappy TV series or something. They often come in thick DVD cases that can hold three or four (or six) discs.

i see this game and the great reviews but i don't get it. I guess its a game unless you play you don't get. I don't get it. I fear i will buy this game and it won't be up to greatness everyone says, or if it is great it won't be my type of game. I'm not into starcraft so it doesn't matter how many 10's it gets I don't get RTS games like that so similar to this all the great reviews can come but I don't think I will like it.

Being a college student using 80% of my money on paying down debt, 10% on dates with girls 5% on food that tiny % of extra money has to be spent on something I KNOW FOR A FACT I WILL ENJOY. So no buy for me.

Fewer than two dozen titles have been released with two discs, and no games have required a third disc.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Official Wii Sales Thread
« on: October 17, 2008, 04:58:40 AM »
I don't think the Wii's selection is diverse at all.  Most traditional genres are barely represented.  RPGs? Fighting games? They don't really exist beyond one or two titles in each genre, and if those titles aren't made by Nintendo then they're probably mediocre

To be fair, these genres barely exist at all in this current generation of consoles. 360's leading the way with RPG's, and it has what... five of them? Since 2005? Yeah.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Interview with Mindware (MaBoShi)
« on: October 14, 2008, 09:48:09 PM »
I got MaBoShi the day it hit the Wii Shop, but found it very disappointing. =( The Circle game is amusing, but the other two seemed pretty weak. The interaction between the three screens isn't very interesting, either. It certainly has its moments, but the extremely bland presentation let it down.

This is a pretty great interview, though!

example of awesome

You could easily recreate the awesome in this video by going to a public toilet and splashing toilet water all over your face!

DSi will probably be hacked within a week or so of release, and Nintendo won't do a damn thing. They've shown time and time again that they don't care about people that pirate games and ruin small developers in the process, they only crack down on legitimate consumers. The instant someone figures out a way to bypass the DSi shop region locking, Nintendo will be on it.

The developers behind Another Code and Hotel Dusk present...

... some visual spew. I'm really not digging the art direction, but perhaps it looks better in motion. You play as special agent Johathan Weaver, who has the ability to see the past. Move around 3D environments on one screen, clicking some items will trigger flashback sequences that play on the other screen. These can uncover clues in the present and stuff! Automatic interest because of Cing.

Tecmo's publishing this one, seems like it might be a lot darker than Cing's previous work. Due out Q1 2009 in Japan and America. Probably sometime in 2014 for stinky Europe and stinky Ozzzztralia and stinky smells.

"Look, Smithers! Garbo is coming!"

TRAILER (no gameplay shown lolol)

In Sandlot we trust.

I really wish America could have experienced EDF2 to see their true awesomeness. EDF2017 was such a downgrade in everything but the graphics.

Aww, a DS love-fest! Count me in!

Someone should make a retrospective bump of threads when the PSP was announced.

Those are always fun to look back on. The launch was even better! Forums, gaming journalists (I still remember one of the big sites, 1UP maybe, rating Trace Memory down because its graphics weren't as good as Ridge Racer on PSP), everyone turned into rampaging trolls upon the PSP's launch. Precious hilarious memories. <3
