Hey everybody! Instead of doing a regular show this week, we decided to collect our thoughts and do an episode all about Nintendo President Satoru Iwata.

This week, Alex, Donald, and returning special guest James Jones talk about the life and unfortunate passing of Mr. Satoru Iwata. The show starts by discussing the news as it happened - including some speculation about the past as well as the future of Nintendo without him. After that, we celebrate his life by discussing his accomplishments, what we will remember about him, and more.

Good stuff, guys. Like Evan_B, I'm finding myself more distraught over Mr. Iwata's untimely death after the news has had some time to sink in.


Regarding the suggestion of Mr. Eguchi as a candidate for the next CEO: I do not know the extent of his executive experience, but he certainly has heart and plenty of experience in the game design sphere. I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing him back in 2006; he is genuinely friendly, energetic, thoughtful, and engaged in his craft.
