I don't know what amiibo cards are supposed to look like, so can someone tell me what's wrong with the card in the photo?
There's a crease going from left to right on the top third of almost every single Horse Racing card (above the horse's eyes in the photo in the link). My 23 packs bought on the first day at five different stores each had it. This crease varies from "barely visible" to "so thick you can see it on the backside of the card". It also goes through the NFC inside the card, thus the chip could be damaged (two of my 23 are unreadable by the Switch, Wii U or New 3DS).

Ah, thanks mate. I think I noticed the crease, but I didn't think of it as something that would cause a problem. If there's a chip in there, then that makes sense.

Even without the chip, though. When you're paying $1.20 for a small piece of cardboard with an image on it, you kinda hope it's in good shape. :(

Yeah, that's a good point. I s'pose these are collectibles for most people so it's important for them to look nice.

They don't even have all-new renders either. :( Anyway, I ended up selling my copy for about as much as I spent on it. The AI got too cheap in later tournaments (baseball and soccer specifically).

Yeah, they all have creases on them. Some of them are slightly less noticable than others though. Do you think it's worth checking all the cards and see if the NFC chips in them work?

Call Nintendo and complain. They won't do anything, but I'm hoping enough folks will get their attention.
