Title: Mafia 79 Sign-Ups: Nintendo of America Power Struggle

After a long period of stability, through ups and downs, the top job at Nintendo’s American subsidiary is changing hands, but who will decide the next boss? Warring factions within the company are trying to exert their influence, along with a few wild cards.
The Mafia
Shuntaro Furukawa - Godfather: Recently named the President of Nintendo Co. Ltd., he wields power from the top. After every day he can choose a player to kill. If investigated he will show up as a townie.
Nintendo VP #1: One of Furukawa’s henchmen on the board, he takes over as godfather in the event of Furukawa’s death, but will still show up as mafia investigations.
Nintendo VP #2: Another of Furukawa’s lieutenants, who takes over in the event he and VP #1 are eliminated, and also will still show up as mafia in investigations.
The Townies
Shigeru Miyamoto - Doctor: The legend himself, Nintendo’s creative mind, uses his method of upending the tea table to cancel out any attacks against one player by the mafia or killer every night.
Bill Trinen - Investigator: Longtime Treehouse employee and high ranking NoA employee, he can use his connections within the organization to learn the role of one player per night.
The Wild Cards
Doug Bowser - Killer: He’s been named the new NoA President, but just to be sure, he’s out to eliminate any possible competition. He can kill one player per night.
Reggie Fils-Aime - Bomber: He may be going out, but that doesn’t mean he can’t take everybody else with him. If eliminated by vote, he kicks the asses and takes the names (and lives) of everyone who voted for him.
We will be following the format a lot of recent games have used where each day will last 48 hours, unless one player has been voted for by a majority of living players and that holds for at least half an hour. If the vote is tied after 48 hours, one of the players in the tie will be eliminated by random draw.
My current plan is to start the game March 4th, assuming we can get enough people to sign up.
Edit:As of 4 a.m. Eastern on the 3rd we're at 12 signups, and I'd like to get at least a couple more, so if that doesn't happen by tonight I may postpone the start by a couple days to see if we can get the numbers.
Edit 2: We're at 14 now, so I'm going to wait one more day for more people to show up but the game will start Wednesday regardless of how many more people we get.

We're at 12 right now, so I'd like to get a couple more if we can. I'm not the biggest expert, though, so what do you think, Khush (I'm sorry, I mean Mop it up's Cat)?

12 can work. It's a good baseline. But based on the roles you've got, I would suggest waiting to see if we can get 16 which is a magical Mafia number. Something about 16 seems to make for good games. Of course, more than 16 is fine but then you may need to add more roles. There are a few people who haven't been around that might be interested in playing like Stratos or BeautifulShy to name a couple. Not sure when they might show up however. Could try sending out some messages on Discord to particular users. Never know. Perhaps if they get e-mail notices from Discord on messages than that may reach them faster. At this point, I don't think it will be a problem to wait a couple more days for more players if needed. Of course, always a chance that 4 more show up before the end of Sunday if looking to launch this for Monday. You just never know.

Yeah, I should ping some of the usuals who haven't signed up yet to make sure they know it's going on. I did post about it in Discord and one of the regulars over there said they were interested, but hasn't posted here yet. I may see if I can send something out on the NWR Twitter, which I don't usually do but with the theme of this game it could be easier to justify.
EDIT: I think we will hold off the start for a few days if we don't get at least a couple more people to sign up before tomorrow night.

Since we're up to 14 now I'll go ahead and say we'll give it another day for others to show up, but I'll plan on starting Wednesday regardless.

Throw in Stratos for old times sake. He may not show up like what happened with the time I included stevey to keep his streak alive even though he hadn't been around to sign up. Never know. Maybe he'll show up in midgame.
