I still say it's gonna be a Metroid/Mass Effect crossover.

Evan B:

I think the deal with Onrail shooters is that they can be carefully level mapped and planned to create a well crafted action level.

Many non-rail shooters have a problem with pacing and creating a sense of scale of the arcade battle...they also have the problem of forcing an invisible wall or some level design mechanic to bring you into the action.

Which creates many objective levels about defending bases and cargo shipments....I have always hated those levels.  I still think a well designed rail-shooter is better, but of course give us some levels with free movement.

iv always thought of a more robust Star Fox, but i understand half the fans are against it. SFA does not count though, it wasn't really in the Star Fox universe.
FYI, Dinosaur Planet was mentioned in the instruction manual for the original Star Fox game on the SNES.

Are you sure about that? Dinosaur Planet started as it's own game, but then Nintendo told RARE to put Star Fox in it.

That Dinosaur Planet in the SNES game was fortuna if I remember correctly. Yes there was a dinosaur planet in the first SNES game, kind of like that LandMaster stage Slippy got lost at during SF64. I might be wrong but I think in the SNES it was Fortuna, the dinosaur planet. Going to look it up.

But the SFA Dino Planet as something else entirely.

Star Fox Adventures' planet was called Sauria, was it not? I at least remember that being mentioned in Star Fox Assault. It made for one of the more silly multiplayer arenas because you could leap right off the waterfall.

Castelvania coming to Wii U too!?
http://www.dualpixels.com/profiles/blogs/rumor-more-castlevania-games-getting-revealed-at-e3
Quote
As some of you may have seen Castlevania: Mirrors of Faith(3DS) got leaked earlier today, this news coincides with it. Castlevania: Mirrors of Faith will be shown with a Castlevania Lords of Shadows Sequel which is hinted for a PS3, Xbox 360, Vita, and Wii-U release. The Wii-U and 3DS Castlevania Titles are said to be Cross Compatible according to our source, which makes us ponder about the Cross Compatibly for Vita and PS3. The 3DS Version of Castlevania: Mirrors of Faith, will also feature Co-op play and will be a 2-D sidescrolling game. We will give you more details as unveilings follow.

So not only is Castlevania coming to 3DS, but has a Wii U version that may feature cross platform play?
Sounds good to me. Hopefully it's PLAYABLE at E3.

Wii U's Gamer Card Function!?
« Reply #6907 on: May 22, 2012, 02:14:17 AM »
Remember this: Wii U to "Street Pass" using a "Gamer Card"?

Well, there is some more detail to go along with that now
Rumor: Wii U's Revolutionary Gamer Card Feature Detailed
http://www.dualpixels.com/profiles/blogs/rumor-wii-u
Quote
The Wii U gamer card will be able to also Street Pass Nintendo 3DS(s) that are synced to the Nintendo Network. A single gamer card will be available with the Wii U along with more that can be purchased at retailers for $5 or (possibly) $10; Nintendo is said to be planning a family pack containing multiple gamer cards. From what we've been told, the gamer card hardware features a small low res GBA like LCD screen; to our assumption this keeps costs down allowing them to make the Street Pass feature a possibility without the significantly higher entity of purchasing a 3DS for the functionality across Nintendo Network devices (Wii U & 3DS).

Not much more new that what was said/speculated before. But interesting none the less.

Wow.... I mean... @_@ Wow. I TOTALLY dig Streetpass, I think it's one of the best features of my 3DS. If the Wii can do this too I'd be very happy but... wow... VMU?

Man these sound great! I've only owned 1 Castelvenia in mu life, but if this one has co-op i'm all for it! Man my 3rd party selection is going to be huge within the first year! Already I want Aliens, Darksiders, Batman, Rayman, right off the top of my head. As long as it doesn't get terrible reviews I can't wait!

As for the Wii U street pass oh please please please please please be true!!!!!!!! When I realized how cool the Street Pass was for 3DS I thought is there a way they could do it with Wii U? It seemed difficult and kind of odd, but if they have a way then I am all for it!

Once I street passed a guy and later I found out he crapped himself when I tried to race my MK7 Airship Fortress record! It felt so good! I want more feelings like that with Wii U.

I don't really think so... if it's going to be an actual card, yeah, but they're saying that it has a screen so I think it's going to need a little more bulk to it.

Those are probably RFID cards because that's one of the cheaper easier to work with forms by my understanding.

I wonder if the Gamercard will let me tap the uMote and get my personally setting and privileges.  That way I can have it set one way for my son and different for me.  At $5-10 that is cheap enough for me to buy one for my whole family and let everyone StreetPass.  Maybe they'll be a Family Find Mii.  Also maybe allow the Wii U to split up the Usage stats.  Authorize pulling my save and settings down to be played on another Wii U.

560MB dedicated to a console OS seems to me to be way way overkill for something on specific hardware.  Especially when in a dorment state behind a game.

No analog triggers? That's not good news for simulation racing games. Sure, you can buy a dedicated wheel and pedal set up, but that's expensive.

I hope that's not true. What an odd omission. There are rumblings that Nintendo added clicky analog sticks and now they may ditch analog triggers. Hmm, sounds fishy to me. I know Nintendo ditched them on the Wii Remote then the Classic Controller Pro but they should know better now. I'm not ready to believe this one. I feel like 3rd parties would be like, "Um... what?"

I agree. the XMB on the PS3 originally took up around 100MBs I think and they even cut that to 50MB late in the system's life.  560MBs seems like way way WAY overkill.
