That would have been a great pic to offer Conan in trade of The Tonite Show on Craigs list.
We might have seen it on the air last night.

So, just saw this last week.

I thought it was good, but what's up with James Cameron totally jacking the story of Disney's Pocahontas?

Wait, did someone make this joke already? =P

Didn't Pocahontas move to England and eventually become a civilized English lady?  Well, not in the Disney film, but Disney ripped it off from history after all.

Aren't they missing a boy who befriends a bear plus a royal family of lions who emerge to reclaim their kingdom?

Oh I thought they got killed by the sea witch.  Or did she steal the kingdom?

Actually, the sea witch just sent them all to a strange land where, if they stay there too long indulging themselves, they turn into donkeys. =o

Yes, it's uncanny!

Was gonna get some Tiger avatar or something along those lines. Then earlier this week like Caliban says
"****ing Magma Man..."  and yup I cried. Read it 3 times, teared up 3 times.

I'll get me Tiger Avatar soon though. Any Nintendo tigers out there?

The funny things is I almost did shed tears for Ace. Just like for the going Merry I held out until it was done for completely, 100% sure of no way Oda will do any kind turnaround. Eichiro Oda's awesome by the way.

I have never seen anything Airbender-related, so I can't really speak to that. I enjoyed the James Cameron film for what it was.

That's a shame. It's one of the best animated series ever made. I reviewed it in the "Rate th last...." thread.

I know I am, but this is from the New Movies thread:
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/dor/objects/874418/last_airbender/videos/tla_1_020510.html

Holy ****! I didn't realize this aired during the superbowl, but I'm glad I caught it. It looks AMAZING! Avatar (the last airbender), tell me you agree!

Yeah but there's an even longer and better trailer up on the official website www.thelastairbendermovie.com

but still, while I have high hopes for movie, I doubt it will compare to the series. The series is both funny and serious. I hope the movies retain that essence.

I'm pretty sure thats the same trailer I posted in the New Movies thread, but I don't feel like looking.
But if this movie doesn't retain the humor and charm of the cartoon, then why bother?

because bending elements is far cooler than ironman, transformers, and "insert summer blockbuster" here combined.

But the humor and the seriousness are like yin and yang on the show. One balances the other.
It's what made the overall package so entertaining and not just cool because they are bending elements.

Just like the mixture of humor and seriousness is what made Ironman so entertaining, and the lack of humor and nothing but seriousness made The Hulk(2003)not so entertaining.
