Faster scanning sounds cool but I liked the tense feeling of scanning and trying to avaoid damage from enemies..

I kept hearing Rouge Leader's voice saying "Stay on target!" run through my head as I was scanning enemies and dodging at the same time.

My Wavebirds and Wavebird receivers. I had finally acquired four total some time a year or so ago and shortly afterward lost some. I proceeded to find some and loose others for the next year up until I moved back home this Spring and all of them magically appeared when I returned. One had been left at my parents house and the others appeared out of thin air.

I don't know why, it goes completely against what it should be, but I have this feeling that I'm going to be spending more time playing games once I get to college, possibly related to how very  little time I'm spending on them right now.

It's true. I learned how to play and get rather good at Halo in the dorms. Dorm LANs are great for StarCraft as well.  Plus DDR and Karaoke Revolution always drew the ladies to the dorms. ;D

I plan to buy it as part of project SXC (pronounced sexy). Support Xseed Campaign.

In fact, LKS and Rune Factory are my next planned purchases.

VGChartz gives it 50k in 'others' and 17k in Americas. I'm going to guess 60-70k for August.

I just ordered this on Amazon. It is only $20 there now.

I got the game and have been playing it most evenings before bed. I love it to death but I do agree that the only glaring issue with it is the forced 'one challenge at a time in a specific order' matter.

I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who enjoyed and appreciated games from the 8-bit era.

That was one of the reasons I mentioned it, to get people here interested in joining it. I saw that BwrJim signed up.

LOL, how many of the members there are NWR people? There's you and I, Mop it up, Caterkiller and BwrJim. Am I missing anyone else?

I hope it isn't a bunch of 1v1 matches. I want a group fight with whatever weapons appear (though I loves me my SCAR :) )

Almost there...

Say, Maxi, do we have a date for the Conduit tournament yet over @ WAD or is it still 'mid-August'?

Is there a way to get a penalty to put your rank back down?

You don't get the points for that particular match. Why would you drop half-way through the match willingly unless you didn't care?

That's the thing I like about how HVS did the point system. Its not a public leaderboard, so there's no e-peens on grand display. It tracks your personal progress, and getting to the gold rank is feasible for everyone, though it may take longer for others. So there's no real plateau. You get 25 points here, 50 points there, next thing you know, its the next rank!

When you're ranked as high as I am '25 here and 50 there' don't do much for your rank.  ;)

^has a mental e-penis

Oh wait, wrong thread. Sorry.

You're just jealous ;)

I have never used that feature on Steam. I'm sure plenty of other people don't as well. Maybe I'm just old fashioned and would rather call up or message friends to play.

Lucky, my security job cut their insurance just before they hired me. :P

I do ask customers if I can have their caps if they are finishing their drinks there. I also pick then out of the trash at the end of the night.
