Three weeks in, I should probably talk about this.
I'd been wanting to do a Top Ten thing for awhile now, inspired by the Letterman show (not other sites). Originally I wanted to do it as either an image-free list OR as a weekly thing to throw in between Connectivity segments. Read aloud, as the Top Ten list on Letterman is.
Well, internal discussions were had and the feature ended up on the site, not on the podcast. Additionally, images were strongly encouraged. Personally, I don't think they add much. I feel like the images are redundant and, in this instance IN PARTICULAR, dulled the impact of the jokes.
I'm pretty sure typing "infanticide" into Google Image Search puts you on a government watch list, so I took a creative way out. But this list doesn't need images to work. The intent is for this to be a weekly humor piece, but let me know if you don't like it or if it needs improving. I wouldn't disagree that this week's list was "tasteless," but because it's something super-innocent like Tomodachi Life, I think it kind of works. I think the images dull the presentation.
So that's the Top Ten. I would like to continue them, but not if nobody likes them. Oddly enough, they have been getting an unusually high number of hits--whether that's because people like lists or because people think they're funny, I don't know.
