Meowfia Day Eight: Curiosty killed the rat
« on: February 07, 2007, 04:22:52 PM »
The sun reigns, and the cat with the fiddle sings:

A town filled with cats is not
The best place for rats.
Yes, Segagamer was caught,
And cooked, and eaten.

ShyGuy licked his lips and said:
"LOL eatin' ur rats."
And then he went home to bed.
And then, they beat 'em.

The loyalists. They killed him.

You learn oohhboy and segagamer were both Louie Loyalists.
“...there are those who would...say, '...If I could just not have to work everyday...that would be the most wonderful life in the world.' They don't know life. Because what makes life mean something is purpose.  The battle. The struggle.  Even if you don't win it.” - Richard M. Nixon

....

Let's inspect the roster shall we? This time with an eye towards what may be stealth mafia taking advantage of the "don't need to vote" rule.

Still alive: (Two Mafia and 9 Townies)

TVman <-- only voted once, and that vote was against mafia member
Stabby
Spak-Spang
Pale
Nuclearspeed
Kairon
Icecold <-- never voted
Dasmos
Ceric <-- only voted once as the first vote against Vudu, revealed to be a townie after death
Blackfootsteps
18 days

And let's not forget my list of suspicions from last time:

oohhboy(whom we've voted out)proven MAFIA
Segagamer12proven MAFIA
Sir_stabbalot
Spak-Spang

I can't guarantee that Sir-Stabbalot or Spak-Spang are Mafia though... and keep in mind, there may or may not be stealth mafia... there's only 2 mafia left after all. It could get messy rooting 'em out.

I was gonna guess on voting Spak as well, but the evidence is nowhere near as conclusive as our last two (successful) endeavors.

You know guys. I'm still not sure. Kairon could just have been selling out known mob buddies because we were going to vote for them anyway and hoped to lead us down the road of voting out two townies unbeknownst to us with two continues until we can realise what he's done! Also I don't believe the offical line on 9/11, Princess Diana, Kennedy and Area 51.

But yeah, TV Man is keeping under the radar. So vote TVman.

and rest so I have favor with the Louie Overlords.

Regarding TVman: He's been very quiet this game and he's a Mafia vet, making him a threat for sure. However that is often his style. But surely with the way the Mafia is getting targeted he would be more active to prevent it? There have been a lot of close votes and not really all that much substantial evidence, additionally he was one of the first to vote for Segagamer. I still think Stabby and Spak are the best options.

In regards to Kairon's motives:
Oohhboy was far from a confirmed Mafia member when we voted him out as the day prior to his being voted out he'd only received two votes (from Shyguy and myself). Kairon started the bandwagon that eliminated oohhboy (and again with Segagamer) so that seems like a huge risk to take if he were pretending to align himself with the townies, surely keeping a fellow mafia member in the game is better than sacrificing one (and then two!).

If I'm wrong and Kairon is Mafia, then he's played a risky and very clever game.

Also I don't think we need to continue twice. We can continue tonight then rest tomorrow to see how we've gone.

The town sleeps and in the morning we are all celebrating in the center.  The Town Hall has just posted evidence that we have killed two more Mafia.  It is now looking as if there is hope in this town.  The secret Mafia is down to two members and the town has 9.  The odds are our favor.

Then I hear the cries, "Kill the outsider, kill Tomoe."  And I realize, that being from another time and era has finally turned against me.  I try to reason with them.  Explain again like I did yesterday my votes.

"I made a mistake voting for Knowsnothing twice.  This game I haven't really talked to anyone to help with an alliance, because I didn't have time with life to read everything and organize who I do and do not trust.  I suspected Knowsnothing from the beginning, because I believed it was too early to focus on resting, and he voted that without reason.  It was foolish.  The other vote for SUPER was a bandwagon vote at the end of the day, which I was mislead by Oohboy and Segagamer12.  I am sure you have read information, and believed it to be true and it wasn't.

Killing me is to kill a townie, but if you feel you must, because my votes were misguided, so be it.  Though I hope you will reconsider."

My future is up to fate, and I begin to mediate over the past events searching to clear my mind.***

After assuming Rab was mafia for so long, I don't think he is based on what Rat said yesterday.  So in a crazy turn of events I'm going to agree with him and Vote TVMan.

Hmmm. . .2 mafia left, 3 votes for me, a bandwagon for a prime suspect and a throw away vote. Odd indeed.
To protect my own interest, I'll vote SPAK.

I wonder if the mafia could win by hiding a member or two as townies, even VOTING like other townies do, and just surviving till the end letting townies kill other townies, never having lifted their finger in the first place to cause the bloodhsed?

You know looking it over I am not really convinced on either of the two big bandwagons right now. Both have voted for a mafia member on the day they were voted out, and with most votes being close that is not the best move in the book. So of course that means they are trying to throw off suspicions or are not a mafia member and want to help the town.

So with all of that I am gonna get on that third wagon today and see what happens.

Vote Dasmos and also Continue

The good news is I'm getting better and better at posing humans. Headcrabs are easy, just lock the body in place and shift the legs a bit. Humans are harder. Just locking the head in place makes the whole ragdoll slump and arc its back in the shape of a " ( ". I've found I can alleviate this if I mess with the upper leg's position. Ideally, I could just use a live spawn and shut off the AI when its in the pose I want, but if I spawn a citizen, there's only a small chance it will be the same model as before.

The bad news is my comic-making takes up a lot of time, and as such I rarely get to vote early. I hope it won't be my downfall... Also, I have no idea who to vote for today. Vote continue at least.

Actually, voting late/last in bandwagons make you look mindless and superfluous, and ultimately perhaps even innocent!

Don't worry, I'm going to keep making them. Here's one now:

I've decided to nickname that guy "Jeff the Gravedigger" and ignore the fact he can somehow understand Lamarr's speech instead of just hearing shrieks. I have him as one of those people with a sucky job that just love it for some reason. I realized halfway through how wrong his second-to-last sentence sounded since he works around corpses, and turned that into a joke since he's unaware of it.

Sir Stabby, have you ever seen a Rupert Everett movie where he has the job of gravedigger and part of that description is killing the zombies who pop up naturally whenever the town buries someone?
