The FINAL splatfest is here and it is Team Callie vs Team Marie. This is what all the splatfests have been secretly about. Sister versus sister, Squid vs Kid!

After the first few Splatfests, I've completely ignored Splatoon in general. After this announcement, I will continue to ignore the game.

I went back to Splatoon today in anticipation of this Splatfest and this game is still so damn fun. Turf War can get old when there isn't something on the line like there is during a Splatfest, but I could play Tower Control and Rainmaker ranked matches for hours.

The Final Splatfest stages have been announced: Kelp Dome, Moray Towers, and Walleye Warehouse! I would have liked Flounder Heights to be in there somewhere, but Moray Towers might be my favourite map in the game and the other two are solid as well. Nintendo also put out the voting breakdown by region:

I forgot which one I voted for. It might have been Moray Towers. I love the verticality of the stage.

I'm so rusty after not playing for so long and I only won one round out of four, but the game is still so great!

Callie and Marie follow the role of the funny man/wise guy comedy routine which has already been voted on in a Japan splatfest where Tsukkomi(Marie) won the popularity contest with 57% against Boke (Callie).

So I'd put money on Marie winning but personally I'm fighting for Callie.
