TalkBack / Re: Hyrule Historia: A Timeline for the Trash
« on: April 24, 2013, 06:17:40 PM »
The "Link is defeated" timeline, I dont believe is trash. If one remembers the story of link to the past, Ganon was sealed away in the dark world by the seven sages. At the end of Ocarina of Time, thats what the seven sages did. Maybe during this "defeat" of Link, the seven sages still managed to do the seal anyway even though Link was killed just beforehand. Or maybe Link sacrificed himself in order for the seal to happen?
With Kotake and Koume, I suppose an easy explanation is that they were barely defeated and ran off. Maybe this is actually the reason why Link was defeated as Kotake and Koume may have intervened with the fight between link and ganon. I suppose with this mindset, the actual difference between the timelines is whether or not Link actually killed the twins.
I might be reaching a bit with these ideas but I figured why not try :P

Damn. While Lttp is a great game and a seeing a direct sequel is awesome, I was still hoping for that Majora's Mask remake instead

eh, to me right now, it still looks like the same game just in a new perspective. And like SupraKirb, The game really didnt go well for me around ruby/sapphire because, well its the same game all over again. Funny for a game series that has evolving in it but the series itself doesn't actually do that. Yeah sure they add in a couple of new features here and there like online battling and trading, but the main game is the same as it was in red/blue. I really want the series to take a new direction instead of the same rehashes with a different color bow

Agreed with Ras.  I'd rather have a ton of room for downloads and if i went the cheaper route, id end up buying a bigger hard drive sometime down the road anyway

hmmm... I can't blame you. Ive been a nintendo fan since... forever. But watching them mess up anything since basically the N64 came out, I cant help but feel like tomorrow might be a big disappointment, especially with recent releases like the 3DS. I personally wasn't even expecting any type of explanation for anything online tomorrow.

hhhmmm I dont know if that was really all that jacked up. Worlds on a forever winter and fire is a much needed commodity. Although.... the toys screaming was a bit off... Regardless, I loved world of goo and their art style is all over this. First day buy for me :]

it might be possible that the larger screen is also to accomodate for the extra circlepad? Larger screen = larger chasis = more room for the extra circlepad

TalkBack / RE:Smash Bros. Brawl Delay Confirmed

yes i would have to agree that this is VERY annoying. But I suppose I cant be too angry because the game will be better off that way. Its like your running a 10 mile race. Youre only 10 seconds away from the finish line and BAM! they tell you to keep going cuz they pulled the finish line another 5 miles.

TalkBack / RE:Sonic Confirmed for Smash Bros. Brawl

OMFG WTF HELL YES! This is the character that i've been telling everyone is the most obvious character to show up in smash bros! (outside of nintendo) OMG I almost pissed my pants when i saw the video! Looks like I got my favorite character to use :]

All excitement aside, I felt Snake was kinda looks out of place in smash bros, but Sonic on the other hand looks like he blends in very well with his surroundings in the video. The date possibly being pushed back doesn't hurt too much, but a december release would have been really nice.

Nintendo Gaming / Male VS. Female Pokemon
« on: April 28, 2007, 11:59:20 AM »
I would like to know what the differences are between a male pokemon and a female one. From my understanding, Males have higher Attack and Defense, while females have higher Sp. Attack and Sp Defense. Is that correct? And if so, a female ponyta with all non-physical fire attacks would make more damage then the same ponyta with all physical fire attacks?

Nintendo Gaming / Wii Zelda is Reversed?
« on: January 02, 2007, 06:12:06 AM »
Does anyone realize that the Wii version of Zelda is completely in reverse compared to the GC version??

I thought it was the wierdest thing when my friend came over with his GC version. I simply wanted to try out the controller but when i saw the intro, i thought something was wrong and I was going crazy. But then i looked at the map and immediately figured out what was going on.

Why the flip? Anyone know?

If you have 2 years of collage, you can start off as a Private First Class (E-3) compared to Private (E-1 or E-2). Gonna have to talk to your recruiter. I only had about 5 months of going to ITT tech and i got in as an E-3

Woot! I finished the game a week after the launch of the Wii! I got 45 hours into the game. Thats counting give or take 5 hours of screwing around, not messing with story elements. example, fishing and just running around hyrule field mindlessly So I think on average, 40 hours is about the right number to finish the game

Nintendo Gaming / Wii Component work with Gamecube?
« on: December 12, 2006, 03:49:21 AM »
Hey guys. I have the Wii component cables hooked up and it works for my Wii games, but I was wondering if they will have any effect on gamecube games like  RE4 or Metriod Prime. I happen to remember that it said on the back of Metroid case that it supports Progressive scan. I just came back from deployment so I dont have all my gamecube stuff here to test it out. I simply came back and immediatly got my Wii :p

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Wii Component still looks pixilated?
« on: December 11, 2006, 02:32:00 PM »
Thanks.

Although, i find it kinda funny that, I can look at pictures on some sites, even NintendoWorldReport, and see screens of Zelda running in 480P and it looks much sharper. Could it be simply that a freeze frame picture makes it look like nothings wrong, but in action you see everything? Or is it that they are setting it up differently than i am?

Nintendo Gaming / Wii Component still looks pixilated?
« on: December 11, 2006, 02:18:13 PM »
OK so i got the offical brand of Wii component cables, plugged em into my 32'' LCD HDTV. I set the Wii to 480P and widescreen. But for me, it seems as though the games im playing still look pixelated. Im not sure if its supposed to be that way. Im worried that something could be faulty.

The games im trying are Zelda, DBZ, and Trauma Center. TC doesnt look bad at all as the game is almost completely 2D, but in zelda and DBZ, i notice that all characters models look so pixelated even though the games are less blurry. Its a slight disappointment especially since ive gotten used to what the Xbox 360 can process. I theorize that since all 3 games were ported from another system one way or another, could be the reason for the pixels as ive come to understandings that sometimes ported games arent as good as their original copy, graphics or otherwise.

Anyone else know anything about it? Could it be my TV?
