The scene is my favorite local bar back in the day. It had a nice dance floor and lots of girls always showed up for a certain reason every Tuesday. And I was there EVERY tuesday for that same reason.
And trust me when I say that if you were there with me, you would probably come back every Tuesday too.

The name of the bar was O'Kearneys and the Tuesday event was The Calendar Contest, but we not so secretly called it "Titty Tuesdays" (another bar around the corner had Taco Tuesdays, so it was sorta a play on that).
The idea was that people (the contest was originally male and female, but I put a quick end to that), recruited out of the crowd most of the time, would come out to the dance floor, which had been cleared and set up more like a stage, and then dance to the song of their choice. Winner moves to the next round at the end of the month. So in a 4 week month, there would be 3 regular contest and then a grand finale on the final Tuesday in which the winner would get that month in the end of the year Calender.
The winner of each week would also win free drinks and a small amount of cash. Calendar winner would also get a make over, photoshoot and free copy of the calender along with another cash prize.
It started out innocent enough, till women were really starting to compete for that prize. Free drinks and take home money is a nice motivator. In the pic, you see how far the competitors were willing to go to win. And trust me when I say I was not complaining.

I wasn't a judge for the contest, but I was very influential to the voting process. During a regular weekly contest the audience was the judge, so whoever had the most supports usually won... I did mention how this was practically my bar right? I knew everyone from the owners to the bartenders, bouncers, DJ, host, waitresses & ALL the regulars.
I was also an unofficial recruiter for the contest, so they would pay me for every girl I would sign up, and I would make sure that any girl I talked to knew that they had a better chance at winning if they signed up through me and not the official promoters.
I also had access to free drinks (my money was no good at this bar as far as one bartender was concerned), so I would hand a few on most tuesdays to get the vibe just right.
Since i knew everyone that mattered at the bar, brought most of "my peoples" in to party every Tuesday (free drinks bitches) and I was also recruiting, it was pretty common knowledge that I could sway a large portion of the crowd on most nights.
On this particular night (the night of the pic), there were 3 women that really wanted to win, and their best shot at that was to sway the people with the most pull.... and since i had a front row seat* (like usual) that would be me. The pic is me and one of those 3 girls... she almost made me spill my drink.

Previously I mentioned that eventually this "Calendar Contest" had to get shut down.... we all knew it was gonna happen sooner or later, but that's why I made sure to enjoy it as much as possible while it lasted.
During the later months of the contest, word was out, people were bringing in crowds to cheer, some girls even came with outfits ready (halloween contest was pretty nice). The contest (with a little prodding from guys like me) had basically turned into a softcore strip joint every Tuesday nite.
