Anyone else see the trailer for this?

At first I immediately thought Godzilla but apparently it isn't as the film is evidently confirmed to not be a remake or part of an existing franchise.

Still really good "wtf?!" trailer.

It doesn't really, but.. with all these doppelgangers, I'm getting confused.

You could have asked a moderator to overwrite it, though..

I saw it. The Trailer doesn't give anything away at all, but it sorta looks neat doesn't it? Hope it's good.

I think it didn't play for me. Not that I mind, they only show the best parts in a trailer and if they can't even show the name...

So many people keep making that mistake.

This movie looks like its going to be kinda crazy, and its going for some sort of viral marketing by not showing the name of the movie. Its an interesting way to hype a movie trailer, since I think the title might give away what the movie is about

As for the movie, if it isn't Godzilla, it's a Godzilla-ripoff!

Yay! I'm glad someone brought this up cause I had no idea where to start looking for it.
So, after Googling 'Bad Robot Production' I found this:

Haha bustin, yeah I got into the whole investigative part of what the movie is about.

I played right into what the company wants me to do . . . damn cleaver marketing.

Fun fact: someone brought up how that slusho thing relates to the guy who made pokemon. I wish I had the link to it but it was pretty crazy.

If the entire movie is shot handheld, as the trailer suggests, I am excited. Most of the theories I've read online assume that it is somehow spiritually related, either through Jewish mythology or Lovecraft's Cthulu monster. Who knows? It could also be a remake of The Host, but it's a bit early for that I think.

If they can pull it off, I'm all for it. But can they do it well enough?

We don't want another Blair Witch/safari adventure. (although, I liked that movie)

Ugh, I dislike 'shaky cam'. If I want to watch home movies, I'll pop in one of mine. Yes, I'm not a fan of Blair Witch.

They have cameras people can walk around with that can shoot pretty still shots, but it still looks like someone's walking. The view bobs up and down, but it stays focused on what your looking at.

But in a monster film, wouldn't it seem more realistic for the "cameramen" to be spazzing out all over the place?  Sure it might be more vomit-inducing, but most home movies tend to be!

EARTH DEFENSE FORCE THE MOVIE!!!!

No, actually I thought of a Godzilla Vibe too...or perhaps Gamera.  Gamera would be freaking rad.
