Imagine how awesome it will be. I hope it has more new kickass music, more crazy stages, and a level editor would be unbelievable but a bit unrealistic. Just make it more of the same and i'll pick it up day 1 with a big erection. I hope it's not a balance board game just due to how well it works with the Wii controller, and the whole flipping upside down aspect would be a bit more difficult.
UPDATE: Kororinpa 2 info is out, with all those things and more. Create your own levels and balls, and use Miis in balls. 100+ new levels as well. :D

I will probably grab this. Wasn't the original 19.99 when it came out or was that Mercury Meltdown Revolution?

Mercury meltdown launched at $20. Kororinpa launched at $40, along with Wing Island at that same price.

Did he just mention an Alien Crush sequel for WiiWare at the end of that interview? Yes, he did! I'd much rather see Devil's Cruch, personally, but good pinball is good pinball regardless.

Awesome. Kororinpa was so much better than Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, but only in regards to control, and hopefully K2 will also be great. I think that if SMBBB had the option to control the ball with the analog thumbstick it would have been better.

I think if Super Monkey Ball had the control option to hold the controller in the NES position it would have been infinitely better.

I agree with this, but it didn't, so it sucked.

I disagree, you guys suck. The game offered a DIFFERENT control scheme, but just because you couldn't adapt doesn't mean it sucked. It opened up the game much more and gave a higher degree of control.
Not as good as Kororinpa though.

I'm really looking forward to the 100+ levels. And the four person multiplayer mode. And the advanced stage builder. And the... well, you get the idea.

You are aware that the music is from the Lord of the Rings films, right? The creator of the video just edited that in to drown out the noise of the show floor.

Been playing the review copy and will be writing the review very soon. The game is amazing. For $29.99 you absolutely can not go wrong buying this game. I think the motion controls might be the best I've seen on the Wii yet.

Balls don't get more epic than this.
This game is impossible to execute on the more expensive, niche platforms.

I think we're finally venturing into the meatier 2nd-generation Wii titles, the follow-ups to all the non-Nintendo "nice tries" and experimental Wii concepts/fodder that took longer-than-should-have to come out in the first place.
Follow-ups include: House of the Dead: Overkill Sonic and the Black Knight Kororinpa: Marble Perfection (soon to be:) The Conduit Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle Wii Sports Resort LOTS TENNIS GAMES
the 1st-gen stuff includes: Ghost Squad/House of the Dead 2/3 Sonic and the Secret Rings Kororinpa: Marble Awesome Red Call of Far Steel No More Heroes/MadWorld/Tenchu4 Wii Sports

We are also getting better third party efforts and concepts that actually work now than they did back at launch.
Anyone that still whines about the quality of Wii titles declining should really pay attention to this year's releases. Save for Black Knight (which has unjustly gotten bad reviews) many of its titles have received great acceptance from the media.
I am sure Kororinpa 2 will see similar, if not better, success.

Soooooooo... I'm having mixed impressions about this game, but it more because I haven't seen any relevant improvements, and to be honest I'm a bit dissapointed.
It comes with a system update.
Anthony the Ant is cute.
Don't know if the game supports 16:9. I think it runs in progressive, but not entirely sure.
Graphics look good for what it is. Although the 2D art could've been done in higher quality, or maybe it was just meant for 4:3, yet it is being stretched to fit its native(?) 16:9 ratio.
Music is catchy, and not annoying which is important for this kind of game, and even the sound effects aren't annoying.
You now have the option to choose between Side (preferred) and Up (default) positions to control with the remote.
Despite having chosen the Side position to control with the remote, it only works that way when playing the levels. Once you regress to the level select screen, or any of the other screens, it goes back to Up position where you can use the IR pointer to select. I think that once you chose a control configuration it should stand for the rest of the game sections.
I played the first few levels on Normal (unlocked next 2 worlds) and tutorial, and I noticed something was different. Loaded up kororinpa (K1), and I immediately noticed that the first marble has more speed than the first same marble from K2, even if the marble from K1 has 1 star and the marble from K2 has 3 stars. Don't see why they opted for change of speeds other than to make it easier for beginners. If it ain't broke don't fix it, and to me it doesn't even feel like they completely changed the speed of the first K1 marble, but rather they tried to tweek the remote sensitivity, or both, and I feel a disconnect of what should be happening on screen.
The camera controls to check the map are... *sigh*. Even the manual has no indication on how to use it. I figured it out, but seriously? Seriously? Maybe it was just because I had it on the Side position, so tomorrow I will check how it controls in the Up position.

I just read their review and my god is it crap. I don't understand what "disconnect" he felt from the level when tilting the remote. As a matter of fact, that strong connection to the game world via the remote is probably the best part of the game. Need to nudge the marble over a hump to get it rolling? Nudge the controller a bit, and voila! Every little motion is accurately represented on the screen.
I just beat the entire game last night (though I still have yet to try the Balance Board levels) and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience. Just a flat out fantastic game from start to finish. After just one short week with it, it has easily become one of my favorite Wii games.

I was going to mention the IGN review as well. A lot of outlets have said the game has some of the best motion controls on the Wii yet so I am surprised that IGN hated it. Maybe this is yet another case of the player not understanding the controls and damning the game for it?

I don't understand what "disconnect" he felt from the level when tilting the remote.
The level tilts with high precision from controlling the remote, but you can't deny that they've changed the way the marbles interact with the level. Like I posted before, the first marble from K1 one acts differently than the exact same marble from K2 when rolling through the level. What made me instantly like K1 was how smoothly the first marble rolled through the levels, and that's what I was hoping for in K2.

Can you verify that the game runs in 16:9, or some sort of widescreen derivative?
Kororinpa 2: MARBLE JESUS runs in widescreen 480p / 60fps, and supports Dolby Pro Logic II. The high production values for a game of balls yet.

Nice review. I'm glad to hear the controls aren't as wonky as IGN claimed they were.
Have you played Bit.Trip Beat at all Mr. Jack? That had really smooth motion controls as well and I am curious of your thoughts about how similar they could be.
Thanks for the effort in getting the review out swiftly, your time and writing is appreciated.
