Sink the 8-ball with some of the most talented pool sharks alive in World Championship Pool 2004!

Cue up with World Championship Pool 2004

Buffalo, New York (July 25, 2003)— Jaleco Entertainment announced today that it will publish WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP POOL 2004 for PC CD-ROM, the Nintendo GameCube, the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, and the Xbox video game system from Microsoft.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP POOL 2004 is the most authentic pool simulation video game coming to market. With licenses for the world’s highest-ranked competitors such as Earl “The Pearl” Strickland and Germany’s Oliver Ortmann, WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP POOL 2004 promises to deliver challenging gameplay in polished, realistic environments. Assume the role of the sport’s best players, adopting their unique style and specific shooting preferences, or compete against these true-to-life legends. WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP POOL 2004 gives gamers the tools to improve their skills with the precise aiming aid, shot strength meter and personal coaching mode.

Experience the thrill and action of real pool, complete with sports-television-style coverage and commentary.

“World Championship Pool has the realism and depth to meet the high standards of hard-core pool players while enabling the casual player to hone their own skills, play the unique fun table games, and delve into the arena of world-class pool,” said Producer Quincy Roach of Jaleco Entertainment.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP POOL 2004 includes both single and multi-player modes and will be the first online pool game for the PlayStation 2 and the first pool game for Xbox Live.

"The Xbox team is excited that World Championship Pool 2004 is coming to Xbox with Xbox Live support. This will offer our gamers a new sports franchise to engage in, competing against thousands of pool enthusiasts around the world, and playing the part of the world's foremost pool competitors," said J Allard, Vice President for the Xbox Platform division of Microsoft.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP POOL 2004 is under development by Blade Interactive of Manchester, England. Blade Interactive has become the leading video game developer of snooker -- England’s most popularized cue sport -- and has created the best-selling, multi-platform World Championship Snooker series, in Europe.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP POOL 2004 is planned for a simultaneous November release.
