Official Virtual Console Mondays Thread
« on: November 27, 2006, 02:56:41 AM »
From what i've read, VC updates supposed to come every monday right?  Well as of 10:55am est theres no updates.  Maybe they are working on it for later today?  Does anyone know exactly which games are going to be there?   <BR><BR>Update:  I've started working on the list.  I work during the week so I will not be able to update it all the time.  I will update it as much as I can however.  But if any mods want to contribute and/or help out with the list that would save a bunch of time.<BR><BR><BR>Virtual Console List:<BR><BR>November 19, 2006<BR><BR>Donkey Kong NES<BR><a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/vcArt.cfm?artid=13048">Legend of Zelda NES<BR>Mario Bros NES<BR>Pinball NES<BR>Soccer NES<BR><a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/vcArt.cfm?artid=13048">Solomon's Key NES<BR><a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/vcArt.cfm?artid=13048">Wario's Woods NES<BR><BR>December 4th, 2006<BR><BR>Donkey Kong Jr NES<BR><BR>December 11th, 2006<BR><BR>Ice Hockey NES<BR><BR>December 18th, 2006<BR><BR><a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/vcArt.cfm?artid=12974">Tennis NES<BR><BR>December 25th, 2006<BR><BR>

Didn't the TG 16 games show up a little late?  Hopefully there will be something by the end of the day.

We're still missing a few games that were supposed to be available at launch.  I wouldn't get my hopes up for today.

Someone clear this up for me, how many games are Nintendo planning to release to the VC every monday?  One game?  Many games?

Is there even a schedule available?

Here's the skinny: this is the list of all the VC games coming out before 2007, those not released yet have been bolded.

Altered Beast     Sega Genesis
Baseball    NES
Bomberman '93    TurboGrafx-16
Bonk's Adventure    TurboGrafx-16
Columns    Sega Genesis
Donkey Kong    NES
Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine    Sega Genesis
Dungeon Explorer    TurboGrafx-16
Ecco the Dolphin    Sega Genesis
F-Zero    SNES
Golden Axe    Sega Genesis
Gunstar Heroes    Sega Genesis
Ice Hockey    NES
Mario Bros.    NES
Pinball    NES
Ristar    Sega Genesis
Sim City    SNES
Soccer    NES
Sonic the Hedgehog    Sega Genesis
Solomon’s Key    NES
Space Harrier II    Sega Genesis
Super Mario 64    N64
Super Star Soldier    TurboGrafx-16
The Legend of Zelda    NES
Tennis    NES
Toe Jam & Earl    Sega Genesis
Urban Champion    NES
Victory Run    TurboGrafx-16
Wario’s Woods    NES

Since these are the ones we'll get by the end of the year, they may be spread out across the next five mondays (including today). This list could be added to, but so far Nintendo has comitted to these ones only.

edit: Whoops, forgot to bold Urban Champion, Tennis, Ice Hockey, and Baseball. That makes fifteen games yet to be released.

They did say about 10 games a month, so those 11 before the end of the year sounds about right.

Those are some prime Genesis games.  At this rate they'll run out of the good Genesis games before we even really scratch the surface of the good Super NES games...

I heard Funky Dynamite was good, and supposedly Treasure was big on Genesis.

Ugh... Urban Champion.  That game is definitely not worth 5 dollars.

I really wished Nintendo set a range of prices instead of one set price for each console.  There's no way that a game like Urban Champion is worth the same amount of Zelda.

Thanks for the list, though there isn't anything on it that i'm interested in.

GUNSTAR HEROES.

There is a range of prices, silly - it STARTS at 5 bucks, and GOES UP! Awesome, huh?

NES games start at 500 Wii Points, Super NES games start at 800 Wii Points and Nintendo 64 games start at 1,000 Wii Points. Sega Genesis games start at 800 Wii Points and TurboGrafx16 games start at 600 Wii Points.

From http://wii.nintendo.com/virtualconsole.jsp

I get your meaning - I was being sarcastic. Genesis games do have a range as well. They START at 800, and go up.

So far. The hope is that there's more - if not this is hugely disappointing and I gave them my 6 bucks too soon.

When did they remove Donkey Kong, Jr. from the list (it was on there when I last checked it a day or two ago)? It's the only VC game I was looking forward to from the November-December 2006 VC line-up.

I'm a Donkey Kong Jr. fiend. I blew $20 on a 25 cent DKJ machine once. Not sure if I'll get it or not, though. I have Animal Crossing.
