the Wii has quite a few stellar games so it is hard to choose (and yes I'd include MK Wii somewhere on that list).

Wait a tick, if you believe Mario Kart Wii to be a stellar title then why am I weird to think it is the best Wii game? Surely it would be strange only if my favourite Wii game were something like Babysitting Party?

Maybe I'll change my tune after borrowing the game from a friend and playing a few rounds online with you guys on the next NWR Wi-Fi Night.

Sorry for being unclear. I did exactly what you said you shouldn't do and jumped straight into the multiplayer.

No they are not, that is true. Yet they convey accurately what my thoughts are with regards to the game and my frustrations with it. I never took credit for the creation of the picture. I'm sorry that it looked like I was. I would not want to ever steal XKCD material and claim it as my own. His humor is better than mine.

Plus he dose often times portray things that are very similar to what goes on in my head. That is why much of his stuff is funny to me.

You can dodge the blue shell using a mushroom. Just grab one before you make your way to the front position. Of course, if you're a poorly-skilled gamer such as myself, you won't have to worry about the blue shell because you'll never make it to first. But that doesn't mean you can't have fun!

You can dodge the blue shells in the exact same way in Double Dash. But there were fewer of them. You don't need to trail Items to deflect shells, you just have good timing. It's more the frequency of the very powerful items in MKWii that kills it for me.

Should we be having this conversation in the 'Hi I'm new' thread? Would it be better to find an old Mario Kart thread or start a new one do you think? I don't want to scare away new members with our crazy but fun MK debate

When it comes to posts, I'd say Nintendo's philosophy of quality over quantity is a good one to follow.

Sheesh, Insanolord has almost a year's worth of online time!
I don't think you could just leave the website up because I believe it stops counting after 15 minutes (or less) of inactivity. You'd have to rig up some way to keep refreshing the page if you wanted to rack up time online without actually being here.
