NWR's Fit Club Official Chat
« on: November 07, 2013, 04:28:02 AM »
Welcome one and all! This is the official thread for Nintendo World Report's Wii Fit U Community.
For those of you who missed the site announcement, you can join in with staff and readers to work out and have fun. Our Community ID is 4133-8368-2142.

In this thread we can talk about goals we want to reach, chat about the activities in the game or experiences using the Fit Meter (which I personally have yet to obtain), or whatever else is relevant to discussion.

Please note that we're keeping things as clean as the Miiverse community rules allow. No goading or antagonizing people over their level of fitness, guys. Nobody has to share details such as their weight or BMI unless they're completely comfortable doing so, and any derogatory comments to any other member will not be tolerated. It's not cool. That said, I encourage everyone to have fun and wish luck to everyone on board! I hope to see you all atop Mount Everest!

To get the ball rolling, can I get a sound-off from those who have already joined? I'd like to get some kind of active member list going.

This game seems to be kicking my butt more than the last Wii Fit games. But I'm loving the Tennis/Tetris kind of game.

Having the Fit Meter and being able to see how far I've been walking is a lot of fun.  Much nicer to have a display and it's easier to sync, unlike Personal Trainer: Walking, which was a bit clunky.

Welcome to those who've commented so far! I'm hoping to get the rest of the staff actively involved in the thread soon.

What's everyone's opinion on the new games? Have you tried everything yet? How does it stack up to the previous game?

Shy Guy: That's horrible! The Fit Meter has been selling like hotcakes in every Australian retailer I visited, and it was impossible to get my hands on one without ordering direct through one of my local retailer's websites. Should be here soon...

Edit:
Or Online for that matter for less then $30.  I never should have downloaded the trial.

I really like the trampoline game, my daughter loves the dance games, and I love to hate the bobsled as in I love the workout it gives my core, but I hate it too because it's hard, but to me the best part is setting the GamePad on the charger next to the TV and exersizing while watching tv.

My Fit Meter arrived, hooray! I've taken it for a quick test, but it's been raining and cold in my area the last few days, not the best weather to go out for a proper run. I love how quick and easy it is to transfer data to the machine.

I'm enjoying most of the new games so far, but I'm having real issues with the scuba search game. The turning is so damn precise that I have to remain contorted into whatever angle I've made while changing direction, and if I face towards the screen again, the Mii snaps back to his original orientation and resumes swimming against the wall. To get back to the boat, I practically have to hold the GamePad behind my back facing away from me... anyone having similar issues?

I haven't tried that one yet, but you don't exactly make me want to try it. i may have to order a fit meter. I prefer to buy things like that from Best Buy because of reward points, but I'm tired of waiting for them to get more in stock.

I'm sort of said there doesn't seem to be Gym leader boards or anything like that.

Wow.. one full day of wearing this thing out in public and it wriggles its way off my belt and flips off onto the pavement. Still works fine but the outer shell has some gravel dents in it. I can see Nintendo getting a lot of requests for replacement shells. It's a matter of time until third party manufacturers start selling custom ones.. heck, it's the same shell as the Pokéwalker, and there's already custom shells for those on the market.

Using my Fit Meter more and more, on the days I don't have time to get any Wii Fit games done, I'm taking a walk around the block. This is good progress and helping to change my habits for the better. At least, I hope it is.

My only major complaint about the community is that there's no way I can find to see a list of members who are currently in the club. You'll get a handful of people who recently signed in on the club's page, but that's not a tell at all.

Just got my fit meter this week!  Works great and love how easy it is to use, takes me back to the good old poke walker days.  Slightly depressing how working on my computer at work all day doesn't produce too many steps :(

I wear that little guy everyday. I've lost if for like, two weeks before, then was super relieved to find it under the couch and stuff. I've replaced batteries on it at leaat three times too.
