Well, Ian Sane and Caterkiller are now both out of the running and today brings us to pokepal148 who has until the 11th to hope Nintendo surprises us all with a sudden NX announcement. The waiting continues.

With the rumours of a pre TGS reveal Im guessing Tuesday or Wednesday next week.
It would be amazing if it does get announced that soon. I just want to know what the NX is.

Isn't Sony doing something on Playstation hardware today? Would make sense to see NX in the next week or two.

PS4Pro is getting released on November 10th, a Thursday. Could Nintendo try to put a damper on their thunder by announcing the NX on that day? Probably not.

After watching the first 10 or 15 minutes of that PlayStation presentation, I really hope Nintendo sticks to the Direct format for the NX unveiling. I have a renewed appreciation for Nintendo Directs after seeing how dry and boring that PlayStation presentation was. I know a lot of people are more excited by the idea of a live unveiling, but I've come to realize now that having more control over the message in a pre-recorded video doesn't just benefit Nintendo. It also makes for a much more streamlined (and engaging) viewing experience for us and leaves out a lot of the filler you get from having an executive on stage delivering these long speeches. If they do go for a live event, I hope they try to make it much more interesting than that.

Yes, I agree that the Directs are much better overall than a live event.
I think they will announce an NX Direct, then at the and of the Direct they will announce a date for some sort of hands on event in Japan, then another one in the USA.

Well they already said it's coming in March so if people are interested, you'd think they would be saving the money in time for a March 1 release at the earliest.

Only hardcore Nintendo fans would be saving up for an NX right now. The wider audience (not even blue ocean, but gamers not following Nintendo closely) would be completely blind-sided.

Is it too late for me to predict an announcement? I know I missed the deadline but I been busy with work and school. If its too late fine. If not, I would predict Oct. 12 not even sure what day of the week that is just Oct. 12 is my guess.

I feel that Nintendo's time to announce the system and have a march release window has passed, given how long it has taken them to show the system to the world it wouldn't surprise that they would delay the system to the 2017 holidays.
