Wii Microphones
« on: April 25, 2010, 11:00:15 PM »
So, I was considering buying a Wii Microphone for Beatles Rock Band, but I was wondering if there were any brands that were particularly good quality... or that should be avoided? Also, if anyone knows where I can get some for cheap, that'd be a bonus.

I'm not finding a thread like that... perhaps there is better way of searching this forum that I don't know of?

The best way to search the forum is to ask vudu, but I don' think there is a mike thread already.

Is a Rockband/Guitar Hero mike the same as an Animal Crossing/Conduit Mike? I wouldn't mind having a head set when Conduit 2 comes out.

No... RockBand/Guitar Hero microphones are different than Wii Speak (Conduit/Animal Crossing). Wii Speak picks up anyone talking in the room. The microphones for the RB/GH are like regular music mics. I'm pretty sure in Beatles RockBand, you'd need 3 people singing on 3 different mics to do 3-part harmonies.

Except it's come out that you can use normal usb headphones in place of wii speak.

I just use the mic that came with World Tour for my music game needs. I have a second one from the PS2 and also a usb headset that work fine.
