I may need to look up Wii sales, but don't they usually slump during the spring and summer months?

Does it matter? I have a funky pink DS and I'm proud of it.
Two, you can just import one, get the Japanese one with Freeloader software or whatever other homebrewers are doing. Was thinking about doing this just to import Japanese games (as long as they have subtitles I should be fine).

I'm actually tempted to get a black system at some point. I don't have Wii Sports Resort yet, plus I wouldn't mind having an extra system to use for homebrew. I don't trust it enough to modify my current system.
If it had a Classic Controller it would sweeten the deal, I wouldn't mind having a second.

I think it would be cool if Nintendo made a transparent Wii like they did at one time with their original Gameboy, where you could see the innards. That was cool, but AFAIK they never did it with any other system since then.

Funny thing, I do the homebrew, and have been launching newer games through the Gecko software. I did the safe updater thing, but the disks still say they want to apply an update to my system... I don't trust it.
Anyway, its odd cause my play time on games when launched through the Gecko indicate that I have been playing Gecko instead of the game. Weird.
Any other homebrewers here know what I'm talking about?
I am tempted to get the Black Wii too. Too bad I have a number of VC titles I can't just move over to a different Wii.

Does visible light interfere with reading an optical disc? That might be why they never did that for the GCN or Wii.

It might have with the GC, but the Wii disc drive is in a case like a computer disc drive. completely enclosed in a steel case.

Don't get too excited, it's still the NES version. And it's likely leftover from the recent red Wii, which came out first and had Donkey Kong pre-downloaded on it.

This was on NWR's home page probably half a month ago, IIRC. It was featured in an official announcement by NOE about that time.
